How many coats of sealant???

I am using the Ultima system and I was NOT planning on waxing afterwards. What is the reason for waxing? Just looks?
 
I was wondering what the optimum time for leaving sealant on paint is before you buff it off. Surf City Garage recommends 24 hours to get the full protection from their sealant. I was wondering about how long I should wait for the Wolfgang. Was wondering if it would be totally pointless to wait more than 24 hours for example.

Some say that a nuba will protect against bird poop better than a sealant. Nuba's usually gives a warmer appearance than a sealant. Most sealants have a reflective look (hard candy shine).

You can put a coat on after you have washed your car next time, no problem washing the the car between coats (just dont wash before 12h+)

I'm getting ready to apply KSG to my car and would like to apply 2 coats over a single weekend: one on Saturday and the second on Sunday. I'm just concerned about the dust that will settle on the paint overnight (will be parked outdoors). Could a QD be used to prep the surface before a second coat or is washing the better option? I have a feeling that the QD would interfere with the layering of KSG.

Yes, a quik detailer could be used just fine. If it was me, I'd use Megs D114@1:128 for a quik wipedown. If you don't have that available just make sure your QD doesn't contain any surface altering ingredients such as waxes or hydrophobic mumbo jumbo...

Something like the regular [maroon bottle] Meguiars Quik Detailer, or Meguiars Final Inspection would be ideal. I'm pretty sure Megs Last Touch would be ok as well.
