Dodo Juice Purple Haze layered over Blackfire Wet Diamond

Amazing gloss and depth anyway I would go with collinite 915 machine applied for nice even coverage.

Thanks man. Ill let it go about a week and will put a coat of 915 on probably or just another coat of Dodo

anyother suggestions I could help you with just send me a private message I'll get back to you promptly.

I say, you started with Dodo wax you should keep using that product until you strip it all off. I think if you start mixing wax over wax cars can look hazy or cloudy. At this point, I would maintain by applying another coat of Purple Haze every 4-6 weeks.

The chemist that came up with a formula that they think works best when testing this wax. If you start topping different hybrid LSPs they are all mixing to a certain extant and you are changing the formula of each product into something that likely isn't as good as either product on its own.

Sealants can molecularly "cross link" (bond to itself) and a wax can sit on top of that and work fine. But once you mix 2 waxes on top of that, everything on top of the sealant is co-mingling with each other, its kind of like melting Purple Haze and Collinite and mixing them together and pouring a jar of it.

I don't believe waxes form distinct layers, but up to a certain point the initial layer will just get thicker.

Ok here is second coat pics. Tell me what you guys truly think. I want honesty. And tips to improve are always appreciated

Looks great. Sweet truck, too. I love standard cabs.

Yeah? It was a new pad and the truck isn't small. They say only 3 cars for a 30 ml size.

Damn! I got the sample pot and have done at least 3 cars with it (by hand) and have barely put a dent in the pot.

haha i am a little heavy in the first place, but my truck sure does take a lot of wax even on a super thin coat.

Thanks man. Yeah the regular cab is awesome. I still have a ton of room behind the seats even with having a sealed enclosure and having 2 12" soundstream reference woofers back there and they are deep woofers.

I was thinking instead of a spray wax go with one more coat of dodo then a coat of Collinite 915 to lock in the dark warm look from the purple haze. Thinking it would turn out really well. What you think?

Wax layering (and sealant layering also) is more a myth than anything else. Two coats are more than enough and the second one is mainly necessary only for achieving even coverage.

Read these two very interesting threads:

By the way, nice looking truck! :xyxthumbs:

I like the look and feel of a nice coat of wax. Even if it has just been done recently. I know you aren't really adding much thickness
