Stripping Wax

Got a question.. I want to start with a fresh pallet and get rid of the wax polish and glaze. What product would I use to achieve this. Don't want to use Dawn...

I've used Griot's Paint Prep with success. :xyxthumbs:
 
Use 2 products together if you want to make sure its off: Griots Paint Prep & CG's Citrus Red.

Is it carnauba wax, a sealant, or a hybrid that is on the paint?

I have Meguiars Ultimate Polish, Mirror Glaze New Car Glaze and Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax. What is "CG" ? Thanks

I see that some people prefer citrus red over CW&G for stripping. Why is that and is it still 1oz/gal to stip?

I have had good luck with paint prep except those certain areas where you can treat 4 times and it still beads!
 
This works for me:
1. Wash car with CG's "Clear" car wash at the stripping ratio of 2oz shampoo to one gallon of water.
2. Clay and wash again.
3. Polish with P21s Paintwork Cleanser. This can be done by hand but I use Griot's 6" polisher with either a very light polish pad or even a finishing pad (my car is only a year old and does not need any correction).

Your car is now ready for the LSP.
 
Chemical Guys Citrus Wash is known to strip off old wax applications, etc. Not pricey either
 
Wash with Dawn and spray with a diluted APC and you'll see it melt away....then rinse thoroughly.

Just curious:
Do you plan on performing any type of IronX-decontamination, claying, and/or polishing steps?

If so...
Then I doubt if there will be any the previous products, you mentioned above, left to worry about.

Thanks Bob, My plan is to wash, clay, M205, Meg New Car Glaze, Meg Ultimate Wax. Think the M205 should get the old stuff off and shine up purty.
