Can you use a quick detail for example Meg's quick detail to remove polishing oils after a polish? Or do you have to use the right polish oil remover cleaner spray?

An IPA mixture of ~10(water):1(ipa) will do just fine.

-Menzerna Top Inspection
-CarPro Eraser
-Mineral Spirits (low odor)
-IPA/Distilled-water @ Mike Phillips suggested ratio.

And...If I may be a nosey-butt:
What's the reason you are wanting to remove polishing-oils?
What 'brand' of polishes are you using?

Just curious.

You should not use a QD as most will have polymers or waxes (gloss enchancing) so you are adding to the problem.

Wolfgang and Meg's polish I just want the sealant to bond to the paint better ... I wanted to remove any oils on the paint after polishing

megs 34 final inspection can be used...

or ive used ONR with good success. If opticoat bonds with an ONR wipedown, im sure others will too!
