Hello geeks,

This lady called me and said she had purchased this vehicle and wanted the smoke smell out and the stains gone. Previous owner was a heavy smoker and rolled his own smokes in the vehicle all the time, Ashes and rolling tobacco were everywhere. The pictures don't do it justice but the previous owner lived on a dirt road and there were little rock pebbles everywhere.

didn't a ton of photos as she needed this done in 2 hours so I had to work my tail off to meet that. Anyone knows with a decent amount of tools/chemicals that setup time can sometimes be 15 mins (not crazy but still on 2 hours every minute counts). I know most of you are going to ask why I didn't do the jambs,I explained that interiors normally take me 3 or more hours so I would not be able to get them with the time frame she gave me, She didn't mind.

Tools used:

Multiple brushes
Different MF towels
Shop Vac
Mytee steamer
Glass cleaning tool
Compressed Air

Products:

Megs D103 @ 1:4 and 1:10
Megs tire and trim gel
Auto Magic new car scent (this was the scent she liked the most of what I had)
Sonus cockpit detailer spray
Perl

here are the pics

Thanks for taking the time and checking out my work. Not my best work but for about 1 1/2 hours I think it was a good haul IMO because of setup and the few pics I could squeeze in. Although for some odd reason her cupholders didn't turn out the way I wanted there was a strange white film over it but I ran out of time.

She didn't even look at that and praised me for how much of a turn around their was in such short time and that the smell was pretty much gone. I didn't get to post pics of the headliner but I did take all the yellowish out of that aswell and sent her home with a 4oz bottle of new car scent.

Wow what a huge difference

Thanks man, I tried to get her to pay my original price for interiors and to give me 3-4 hours with it but it wasn't possible on her schedule.

I knew it could have been alot better, Just thought for about an 1 1/2 hour (after setup and some pics) it was a pretty darn good turn around.

Great work, I never understood how people were comfy being around such filth, I guess thats why she wanted it cleaned.

Yea me either, I always have kept a clean ride even if it was a beater (like my first car) and a few after that. It's just a satisfying feeling to look at a clean car, Even better feeling when you did it yourself :dblthumb2:

Nice turn-around!

:props: Thanks man

Great work you did there man! You could really see what a huge difference a bit of cleaning makes!

Thanks man :xyxthumbs:, Not the worst I have done but it was pretty bad, wish I had more time to get more photos.

Crazy turnaround for 2 hours! Very nice work

Thanks :xyxthumbs: , Wish I could have spent longer on it but in the end she was a very happy customer and works at Citibank which could lead to further work from some of her co-workers in the future.

I actually woke up to a voicemail this mourning (I follow up with all my clients) and I wish I could take her VM and put it on my site lol. So today i'm going to shoot her over an email and see if she can leave a local review or just email me back something so I can put it on my site.:dblthumb2:

What did you use on the carpets

Normally for bad carpets I follow this process.

1. Blow out all cracks and crevices with compressed air.
2. Vacuum
3. Agitate with APC+ at 10:1 / 4:1 for bad spot treatment
4. Go back with some interior carpet brushes and agitate further and blot the dirt/suds with MF
5. Mytee firebird steam and some more APC for what didn't blot out
6.Go back through and vacuum yet again with a wet/dry shop vac to pull any remaining chemical/wetness from steamer and to pull the carpet fibers up again.

7. Whala done.

That turned out great for such a short time. I would hesitate to tackle something like that in two hours.

Nice turn around!

Thanks Evan :xyxthumbs:

Thanks man! Yea I love the challenge detailing brings me and made fun of it rather than stress about it. It turned out great I now know for future reference if it needs to be done in a jiff with quality still there I can tackle the job so it was a learning curve for me also with the speed part and keeping my process in check without getting side tracked :)
