Up Close & Personal: Sonax Perfect Finish

In my limited side by side testing, I found PF2500 to cut more than SPF, but not finish as nice.

Interesting observation; I'll have to perform a side-by-side comparison. Stay tuned! :dblthumb2:

Why did you follow with 15% IPA. Does Clean Solve not wipe off residue free?

I used Clean Solve to ensure all traces of wax and grease had been removed from the finish. Following with IPA removed polishing oils. When I Opti-Coat a vehicle, I take every step necessary to make sure it bonds properly.

I would reckon that Sonax Perfect Finish is more similar to PO106FF(SF4000), finishing is almost the same, but SPF seems to cut slightly more on the same pads.

SF-4000 and Perfect Finish are both excellent polishes, but I would say that Perfect Finish is definitely a step-up in terms of cut.

That little bit of extra cut can eliminate a second finishing step for some applications.

Well...crap.

Thanks Nick - you've pushed me over the fence on this one - expect my order soon.

Looks like this will be on my next order. Thanks for the review!

How much product do you think it took to polish the lincoln? I will have some soon.

I have limited use with spf on hard paint, but on soft paint with a rupes yellow pad it is a great one step process if the paint isn't all jacked up.

Excellent choice!

I doubt I used more than a couple ounces. Once you prime the pad, a couple pea-sized drops of polish is all it takes per section.

Agreed! :dblthumb2:

someone really needs to do a PF2500 vs Sonax Perfect Finish side by side comparison.

I use PF2500 often and I'd be interested to see how the Perfect Finish can compare.
