OK...My wife's car is a 2008 Ford Edge. The paint is in excellent condition. Friday and Saturday I detailed the car and it came out great. Washed, clay, polish with CG P-40, IPA wipe down, two coats of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spray Sealant then two coats Souveran Liquid Spray wax ( new formula) The CG P-40 I used was alright but if you left it to long, no mater how thin applied it was a bugger to get off in some places. I am looking for suggestions on a polish that is easy to machine apply, won't stain molding, has no fillers, silicone or glaze and wipes off easy by hand even if it sits for a few minutes. I could use Blackfire polish since I do an IPA wipe down but would like to try something else. Any ideas?

Optimum Polish II. The trick is less is more. Or you could use their finishing polish. They are SMAT, so you can stop whenever.

Were you polishing in the shade or under direct sunlight?

205 is my go to. I've seen some pretty awesome results with HD polish, I might try that next.

Menzerna Power Finish 2500 is probably the best all around polish I've ever used. Really tough to beat.

Are you using a machine or by hand? What pads. I have used P40 on softer paints (toyota and honda and love it.) It has a long work time and polishes down almost perfect. My only knock is the color.
I love Menzerna polishes but they dust. I know the new stuff dusts less then their older lines but I don't have time for dusting. Look into CG V series polishes. They all finish down really well. Take a long time to flash out and ZERO dusting. (They sell a sample pack of all 4 polishes for $20) It's not a huge commitment to test them out for yourself. That is what I bought and love them.
