Hey guys,

I am new to detailing and I am wondering if anyone has a flowchart for a complete detail point by point...

you know something like:

1. Rince the car
2. Foam the car with foam gun
3. Rince the car

and so on going through the paint correction, swirl removal, glaze, wax and so on.

Pros don't need it but I certainly would find it helpful so I don't forget anything and know all I need to buy.

Any help/advice would be appreciated if you can't point me to a chart.

I couldn't find one on AG YT channel. But here are the 2 from CG:

I wright mine on a painted white board in my shop save paper and every car is different. I'm not a fan of glaze at all never use it.

Ya I was messing around with glazes the other day and dont like them. It seems to me as if they are just a cheap way to FILL IN swirls for a short period of time. Just polish correctly and there is no need for one. Thats my opinion at least.

Thanks I had already seen that one on Youtube. It's a good base but I was looking for something more detailed.

Are glazes faster to do than polishes? If so maybe they could be useful for more basic (quicker) detailing projects?

For example, if the paint has no swirls or anything, would a glaze be good to do between the decontamination (clay) and the sealant?

I never use glazes they are just full of fillers and are just a temporary fix. If you have good paint all you need is a good sealant and wax.

Just a tip here- but if you follow the directions on the back of the product regardless of manufacturer you will get the best results. Some products have dwell times some don't- your question is very broad.
