Try not to chuckle but......my wife says the beautiful leather seats in her VW Beetle are hot and sticky in the summer. She wants seat covers. I said you don't put seat covers on leather seats! She laughed and said put em on!!

Any suggestions? I don't want to harm the seats.

I looked into it a while ago. You gotta to spend about $500-$700 to get decent ones. Anything less is pretty bad.

You also have to worry about the side airbags, if your vehicle has them in the seats. Seat covers could potentially interfere with the deployment of the airbag in an accident if not designed properly. Additionally, although unlikely, your insurance company could deny a claim for her injuries if it's found that the seat covers interfered with the airbag. Again, unlikely, but anything's possible I suppose.

Use two soft, terry cloth bath towels. Put one on the seat cushion, tucked in at the back and hanging over the front of the seat. Put the second on the backrest and fasten it in some fashion to the head restraint and tuck in any excess where the cushion and backrest meet.
