Any product suggestions for those no wax/polish areas? Seems the Mothers Back to Black does not stay on very long!

Duragloss 271, long lasting stuff and it dramatically darkens trim.

Ultima Tire and Trim Guard, Dlux, Perl, Solutions, GTechniq C4, Opti Lens, to name a few. To make any trim product more durable, prep work is the key.

Brush the area with toothbrush and APC, after that i use CG G6 Hypercoat. Very good stuff.

I have had alot of success with Chemical Guys VRP. It's a cream product not very expensive. There is a learning curve with it. I cut it 50/50 with distilled water for interior and tires and use it in cream form for trim. The trick is that you need to apply it let it set up and buff the excess off. Make sure you put on a even coat. If you don't buff it off the stuff never dries. Once buffed off it is dry to the touch not greasy residue and last a long time as long as you buff it off. It's not a lot of work just a quick buff and done. It also cuts down on the super high gloss people seem to glove so much and settles with a nice satin finish. You don't need a lot of it. Inside the stuff lasts forever. My dash never looked better I only have to treat once a year. Outside if you maintain the trim every time you wash treat it again after about 3 treatments your trim will stay black for a few months outside kept car. I'm going to try doing the trim outside 50/50 and see what it does. It makes it easier to work with and it's much cheaper. 50/50 on tires goes on smooth. I do two coats one let it set up buff it down. Then another let it set up and buff it down. Then my tire walls are water proof for a month.

I want to try out solution finish. I missed the vip deal on it a few weeks back

Depends on what areas you are talking about. You can always spray PlastiDip over trim (5 coats please).

Replacement for Mothers Back to Black
Most similar replacement to Mothers Back to Black? Vaseline. It'll stay on reasonably well, slightly darken the trim, but it'll bleed badly after the first rain/wash....

Just kidding, BTW. :xyxthumbs:
