Favorite Spray Wax .... How, Why, Uses ??

I use my Pinnacle waterless wash before drying for a super quick wax to my car.

Turns out nice IMO

I called AG and they told me I could use Pinnacle Waterless wash as a spray wax after I wash the car as well because of the carnauba. If anybody was wondering if they could use there's.

M135=Meguiars Ulltimate Quik Detailer, D156=Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax, so you didn't buy the same thing twice. I alternate after my weekly washings, cars look like they were just waxed all of the time.

Optimum spray wax. How..spray on a meguiars even coat microfiber applicator. Why? Because im bias towards optimum products. Good price, easy to use, slick surface...if any streaking, applied too much a little goes a long way (can spread it out by spraying some water or onr on area).

whats the durability like with spray waxes like aquawax? does it give a decent protection? never used them before

In my opinion durability with post-wash spray sealants and waxes is a moot point. These products apply as easily as a detail spray. Use any of them after each wash and your paint will always be protected.

I agree that the spray waxes and sealants are as easy to use as a quick detail spray. However, I have heard that products such as Aquawax should not be used after every wash because of possible discoloration. I don't know where I read that but the writer said it is best to use these wax sprays no more than once or twice a month. Has anyone who uses them after every weekly wash (as silverfox suggests) noticed a dulling or discoloration because of the frequency of use?

Spray waxes offer an easy and quick way to add both gloss and protection to your paint. I've tried several and to date Optimum Spray Wax is my favorite with Duragloss Aquawax running a close second.

Both products are easy to use and can be applied directly to the paint or misted on a microfiber towel and wiped evenly over a panel.

Spray sealants are gaining in popularity and do a great job at adding gloss and protection. Which is a better product? I really can't say as many of their qualities overlap but they do work and work well...:props:

I like Aquawax and have had zero issues with it. Optimum I have had streaking, I will try a thinner application, though I can already get about 10 applications out of one bottle now so thinner I may get 12. I want to try Flitz, a post was made and the OP noticed no streaking with it even on glass.

Meguiar's D156 or UQW. It just simply works and has never let me down. Great shine and beading, and usually lasts 2-3 months. Plus you can use it pretty much anywhere on the exterior since it doesn't stain trim. Doesn't matter if its 110 degrees or below freezing, it just works.:props:

Not sure if the fellow AG member wants me to post his screen name up here but I've got a 16 oz sample of Meg's D156 coming way, its actually due here today and I can't wait to try it out. I'd just like to say THANKS to him for sending out to me and so quickly too, review coming soon but from the sounds of it this is one product that doesn't need a review and/or has been done over and over, oh well, if its that good there's going to be several more Google searches coming up for this productN LOL!

Good story. :props:

haha.. j/k - the generosity of the members of this board is incredible. And since most members here are members on multiple boards, this comment stretches to the other boards as well :props:

Ok. feeling good time is over. back to regularly scheduled program.

I can +1 D156 as well as the consumer version. I'll echo Chris's FX4 - it's great everywhere on the exterior, and it's used after nearly every wash. I'll pick up DG after my stock runs out.

As to the comment regarding Pinnacle's WW as a spray wax - it seems like that would be the more expensive route over a spray wax product. *shrug* YMMV

Meg's D156, 128oz. $31.99
Meguiars Synthetic X-press Spray Wax, X-press car wax, Meguiars X-press spray liquid wax, D156

^Is this a concentrate?

Pinnacle Liquid Crystal Waterless Wash Concentrate with Carnauba, waterless car wash, eco friendly car wash products
Pinnacle WW concentrate $59.99
(Not great at math, but here it goes)

Pinnacle WW
Is 1:32

So 32x128= 4,096 oz, of waterless wash and spray wax?

Not saying one is better than the other, jus saying this is what I use, since I have so much of it. Even gave away 3.5 oz :)

like i said, YMMV (your mileage may vary). Find something you like and use it often.

Lol didn't know YMMV meant that lol

Your picture always makes me laugh Becciasm (in a good way)

So I have been looking to try D156. Is there a place to buy it local in a spray bottle? Is it the same as Ultimate quick wax like stated above?

As stated D156 is great. You can get the OTC Quick wax at any local auto store. As for the D156 it self where are you located?

Today I tried Poor Boys QD+. It's a QD w/ carnauba. I't seemed like it had a significant amount of actual "wax" (carnauba) in it. Works very well, but not super slick at first, I believe due to the wax.
