Sign-up: 1947 Buick Special Slantback Sedan

This Thursday night were doing two hot rods back to back so I'm going to need some muscle to know these both out of the park.

I present... Mike Gelter's 1947 Buick Special Slantback Sedan!

I have not seen this car in person but the normal condition is filled with swirls and in dire need of decontamination.

Sign me up for sure. That's a sweet ride. The cars we get to touch on Thursday nights are incredible indeed.

That thing looks like an old bathtub flipped upside down! Love the Bonneville salt flat wheel covers!!

Look how long the front fenders are... and the slantback design makes this a very rare car.

Buick ! Love these also ! Will look at this one .

I agree. People love the HUGE chrome grills on these classics. If you were walking into a parking lot at your local grocery store and one of these was parked in the parking lot among a sea of brand new cars I'm pretty sure which car would get the "second look".

This is the kind of car I see getting fixed up and hot rodded on a majority of the "Car Guy" car shows on TV.

Cool, two cars on Thursday, I there for both.

It's always good to have your help John. Do you have any car buddies that you think would like to also be a part of this? Co-workers, kids, neighbors?

Share the fun...

I don't know of any other place in the United States where people are invited to attend events like these and get to actually take a machine to cars like these.

:)

I guess we all will be working on both cars tonight(or at least I will).:buffing::hungry:
