I recently did this gentleman's Bentley a week or so ago and now up was his recently purchased 03 Porsche 911. The cars paint was trashed even with low miles (20k) but from reading on here I have read that black Porsche paint is very sensitive and this one was in fact that way. He wasn't after perfection so a 1 step polish was done. I'm sure anyone who has worked on a car with soft paint knows how unforgiving it can be.

My test spot I started with M205 and a white polishing pad. It looked really good but I found that it had a slight haze left over after I was done. I was a little worried since honestly I didn't have the means to use a less agressive method, but with a little change in my technique lessening pressure on the last two passes it left behind a great finish even after a wipe down. :xyxthumbs: After it was waxed with collinite 845.

Products used:
m205
LC 5.5"white pad
gg6
ONR
speedy prep sponge fine
megs apc
UTTG
Collinite 845

I love these scoops on the sides even though they required to be polished by hand.

Thanks for looking,

Great job! That thing was trashed especially for only 20k miles. I can't believe how well M205 worked for a 1 step polish. Did you try it with a finishing pad?

My guess is it was someones baby before the current owner bought it and loved to keep it clean by rubbing their dirty rags all over it :bash.
My order for more pads had not come in time for this detail so i only had 1 finishing pad on hand that i used to apply wax so I had to make do with my white pads. On this soft paint M205 had plenty of cut to remove the swirls but I was not able to get anything too deep out.

Very nice. M205 is some awesome polish. Use it with a finishing pad for some high luster. Your technique with a polishing pad works nicely as well.
