Hello All!

Jumped on the Auto Finesse Sale Autogeek had last week and my stuff just came in and I can't wait to try them. But, there are some weird flakes in the citrus power, here are some pictures. Anyone know what these are? Thanks!

Oh, that is concerning.

I dont really care what it looks like as long as it does not affect the performance of the product hehe.

I do not want to ship it back to Autogeek....

Wow lol my bad. My 4 bottles do have those flakes lol i never noticed them haha. Sorry for worrying you :D but it seems like its just part of the product

Haha, thanks for checking!

If this doesn't affect the product, I will buy the 5 liters if AG ever gets them in stock along with AF's entire line for that matter hehe.

i would get the avalanche pre wash in 5 liters if youre going to be using it that much. Its basicly the same thing, and you can dilute it to your needs. Only difference i see is that avalanche foams better.

I am sorry to go against the flow but that is not something that is supposed to be happening. The manufacturer needs informed about this because something has either failed to dissolve or has reacted in the bottle. It may do no harm but it remains a fault with the product. On the other hand, it is a solid sediment which definitely risks clogging up your spray head and there are other potential risks (notably because you cannot be sure of the identity of the solid material).

With a small amount of sediment, I wouldn't worry but I would classify this as a very significant level. The bottles should be replaced by AF and the manufacturer needs informed of the problem.

Thanks for the advice. So should I contact customer service?

All of our bottles are like that. We tested the product to make sure it still performs as it should and it does.

Shake it well and enjoy. :dblthumb2:

This is why Autogeek is the best!

Thanks Nick!

I am going to try it this afternoon/evening! Can't wait!

Quick question, when (if) will AG carry more 5 liter AF products?

Maybe they're gold flakes, you know, like in Goldschläger!! :)

mmm Personally I would not try a quick spray and see type test. TBH as said you have no idea what has happened therefore its best to get the manufacturer involved as the responsibility and liability then falls back to the reseller if you have given the all clear and something happens. You can't be totally sure that it will react adversly with one particular paint/plastic/chrome due to some form of potential contaminant that has slipped into the batch or it mat be a harmless case of something not dissolving out properly during the brewing process. As said it is possibly 99.9% ok but giving a guarentee without involving the manufacturer then puts the onus to honour a claim on AG should something happen.

Personally it should not have left the door looking like that we certainly would have scrapped the batch and started again and it would not have been sold to a customer like that it is obviously a blending issue.

Wow this discussion is being blown out of portion. Nick said that it did not affect the performance of the product. Are you going to throw away all your white polishing pads that gets stained grey with menz sf4000? I do t think so.

I am a little torn but Nick said he tested the product with the flakes they preform just fine.

I will report back sometime tonight or tomorrow if there have been any adverse affects.

Flakes or no flakes this is a product that isn't rubbed into any paint so who cares if there are flakes? I mean really common now it's not a spray wax or quick detailer...

Update!

Tried the product on my wheels this morning and they preformed like a champ. I even applied some on the wheel well and they did a good job cleaning. The sprayer is just right, not too fine and not too much product.

I haven't needed to use it on paint yet but with summer here, I am sure I will test this out as a bug-presoak remover.
