Hello AG forum! First off, this is one of the best forums hands down. I'm on many car related forums that are plagued with flaming, smart ass comments and attacks. The members here are generally helpful and polite with even the most newb question that could be found by a search. I will generally be a lurker and user of the search feature but maybe I can offer help when possible.
I've been in the custom/vintage paint and body world pushing 15 years. Most of my finishing needs have been handled with 3-m products. In the recent years 3-m has ended what I think was all their best products. This left me with garbage from my paint jobber until a friend of a friend said consider products from the pro detailers scene and explained why. My eyes were opened and im not looking back. I should have done it before 3-m's change. I've recently spent a good bit of money buying products to compare and set up a "system" that will be my new standard. So far I've grabbed a few Wolfgang products (twins) and the entire range of the V series of chemical guys. I spent a good amount of time comparing CG v36 and v38 to the wg twins. I have to say its close but the twins are my new finishing products after v32/34 as compounds . These produce very similar results IMO but the winners emerged non the less. Ill leave it at that unless anyone asks why.
Great to be here and can't wait to soak up some of you guys extentsive product knowledge!

Welcome I'd love to see some of your work

Thanks guys! Maybe I can figure out this computer machine and post a few. Or, pm me for an email. I'm always willing to share.

Welcome and always can use opinions from a painters perspective.Any opinions of Epoxy primers, SPI in particular?

Sorry I don't have any experience with SPI. I'm 99%PPG/Global. As far as epoxy goes, I use them as the ground substrate for all our work. Any specific questions, 57borntorun? Btw I have a turquoise 57 belair in for a complete right now.

I am planning on getting PPG certified...

Just to have it under my belt. I'm estimator certified, took a college course, some years back.

Welcome. To the person that asked about SPI, I have I have used their Epoxy and thought it was very good stuff. Great customer service as well.
