Tires and trim:
M38 Tire and Trim Gel and Meg's Trim Spray.
Interior:

Strange thing I've noticed on these cars is that the rear wheels get more break dust on them then the front ones do.

and the front rims

Here's a problem with the Fronk. You see the rubber seal at the top? Well basically this is where the "outside starts so the whole Fronk area gets really dirty,

Here's the Fronk all clean. You see what I mean about the rubber? Another piece of rubber trim needs to be at the edge of the Hood/fender/front.

Well enough of that sickening stuff. On to the work!
here's a 50/50 test spot with 205, MFCP and only a few passes to see the paints reaction
and the paint likes it!

Results are amazing, must've been a long day. Nice job, thanks for posting

Good work.

You do that in a parking lot?

How long did the correction take?
Yes, I am a Mobil Detailer. I can detail anywhere! :)
actual correction of the paint? 2 hourish. Wasn't a hard job at all. About 12 passes per section.

Good work. What took longer, the detail or taking pictures?

So if I am reading that correctly, you are saying you made 12 passes (ie 6 horizontal and 6 vertical) for each 2'x2' section during the correction process? and it only took you 2 hours?

maybe 3. I did this car weeks ago and I have the memory of a lizard so give or take.
I got there at 8 and left at 4. About 45 mins in breaks.
wash, nano, polish, wax, rims/tires/trim, interior.

Would like clarification on this as well because I'm doing the math in my head and thinking at least 30-45 mins per panel for this level of correction and 1 hour on the hood easy. I use mostly a PCXP though... does the Flex really save that much time??? I'm @ ~6-7 hours polishing just for a one step on these Teslas.

Your math is similar to my math... the Flex does not save you that much time, nor does the Rupes or any other DA lol

a, yes they do.

I don't work a 2x2 area. With the Flex and especialy the Rupes your work area is huge.
Plus these machines aren't like a PC, G100,G110 or a GG, those are DAs with a clutch in them to slow them down so you won't do any damage. So anyone can use them and not do any damage to there paint.

With the Flex and Rupes you have the same da action but no clutch. Therefore these are called "Forced Rotation DAs". FRDAs don't lose power like a reg. DA thus you can "work" the paint harder, longer and work a much bigger area then you could with a DA that has a clutch. More for pros then enthusiast.
Time is money and I don't want to polish any longer then I have to.

Today I just talked to another Bigfoot owner and he polished a Black Land Rover in 4 hrs. Saving him 4 hrs.
I waxed a Mazda 3, a little hatch back in 15-20 minutes last week because my work area was the whole panel ie: the whole hood, the whole side, the whole roof, done, done, done.

So polishing this car in a few hours is nothing.

Rupes are not forced rotation, so your information is inaccurate, and it is still recommended to work in smaller areas for any DA polisher. Also, I bet the vast majority of the community here that use the Rupes would say that they do not see any sort of time savings like what you are experiencing. But still, with 12 passes I don't see how you could be working with "huge areas" and not running out of product.

Either way, car looked good.

They are forced as in they don't stop. PC's and the like stop and a weaker then the Flex and the Bigfoot.
And I'm not a lire. My work speaks for its self.
I polished this car in a few hours with a Flex and I would have done it in less time with a Bigfoot, period.

Anyone using A Rupes is getting better results then this with VERY LITTLE product and less work time.
You don't understand how the Bigfoot works, period.

From what I have experienced through many hours of personal use and from what I have read from others, most people report no more than a 20% reduction in time using the Rupes machines... I can believe that, but I know that it personally takse me much longer than 2 hours to buff out a car which is why I am having trouble getting a grasp on that part. I bet I spend at least an hour (probably more) with the 3" & 4" pads getting into all of the tight areas on the bumpers, pillars, etc.

Also, I know you used the Flex for this job, but have you used a Rupes? They definitely stop pretty easily on curved and complex areas, not too differently from the Porter Cable... but I won't argue with you though since you have it all figured out, and as I already said, Nice work.

sorry for my attitude. I guess I was in a bad mood.
I guess I've been misinformed.
I'll try stop it today and get back to you. I'm sure you're right I just haven't had mine stop. but then again I've only used it twice. I've only had a week.

well I stand by my word you cannot stop this Rupes. I don't know why you say you can stop yours mine isn't stopping. Its a force rotation machine.

okay on speed one I got it to stop spinning but the oscillation didn't stop.
I just waxed 57 Chevy in 20 minutes tell me that's not fast!
