2003 10th anniversary Cobra Terminator paint correction

As others have said, well you know, most excellent job for sure! :)
Thank you Kevin. I really enjoy following your posts here too. I think of you as "The Metal Master" and draw on your experienced posts and comments when doing a job with lots of metal. We all play an important role don't we?

I think this is great information. This to me is flat out experience talking and I really appreciate you sharing it!

I want as many people in the world as possible to know that high quality paint correction and auto detailing involves so much more than just "Wax on Wax Off Daniel Son". I'm glad to share it and hope many people benefit from it.

Awesome right up and great job!
Thanks man!!

Great job , thanx for the taping tip for the spoiler , real handy .

Great work, Dave, the car looks awesome!

Hello everyone ,
Just wanted to say thanks again to Dave for a great experience and even greater outcome . I said it before , how incredible my Cobra looks ,but I honestly cannot say it enough .The fact the he did all that in 12 hours still blows me away .I read somewhere ,( not sure where) someone had said " Polishers /Paint Correctors are a dime a Dozen " I find this comment very hard to digest ,as I am 43 ,on my 5th? Muscle car(2nd Black one, 4th Black Vehicle overall) and have yet to see anyone who can get the results Dave has , on Black Paint nonetheless .Now I'm sure there are many who can , however I have not seen or met them . The other thing that took me back was how I was treated by Dave , so not like just "a customer" , anyone who has met Dave in person quickly see's the passion in his eyes and can hear the honest to goodness care in his voice .
I really mean that when I say he cares , I've been in the car game for quit some time and have had a fair amount of work done to my Cars over the years that I either didn't have to the tools or Know how .I wouldn't say I'm the hardest to please , but I also would certainly not say I'm the easiest by far lol . We all know that when we have Expectations they are rarely met . I tried not to have any . Tried that is , however a 2 hour ride and wandering mind blew that completely out of the water ! This isn't just some sales pitch in any shape or form , when I say the experience with Dave was spectacular . He takes the time to explain the Why's & What's ,in a manner that you just don't see anymore which makes it hard to comprehend how he got so much accomplished .Because he wasn't just teaching me , he had a rare eager to work and learn (for free even) 18 year old young man fresh out of Body Shop School named Justin that he was mentoring on every step . Cool kid no doubt . So with that , Thanks again Dave for superb work , and making it a Total Blast . I'd also like to say thanks if I could to all of you other Pro Guys around AG for posting all the Reviews you do , there are many many lurkers like myself who benefit in a HUGE way thanks to you all taken the time out to Post in depth threads on any given product . Great stuff man . Lastly , thanks a ton to AG for supplying such a variety of Awesome Products at fair prices and just as Awesome Customer Service .

Dave is definitely an incredible being. He's so dedicated and loves this art so much that he drove 2 hours to attend a local gathering I hosted...even when the weather was calling for thunderstorms!

Having him watch over us and share tips was a blessing. His experience and skills are top rank. I'm glad your vehicle turned out perfect and I'm sure the pics do not do this correction justice!

Cheers

You are 100 % Correct , the pic's I've taken so far have & do not remotely give an accurate portrayal of the paint . The weather wasn't cooperating over the weekend , however it is the start of a beautiful day .They say it will be nice for several days to come . I'll keep working on getting the "Money" shot as Dave calls it .After all, who gets tired of taken and posting pix of their own Car ? lol

Daren, thanks for all the kind words here. I am very pleased to see how happy you are with the outcome of the work I've done to your car. It's not every day I get to work on truly special cars like yours, and I really get in the zone when I get to explore all the areas to improve upon such a nice vehicle. Thank you for spreading the word of mouth into your car club and to any car shows you might enter the car into or just attend. If you run out of my fliers and want more, just send me an email or give me a call and I'll mail you more. If you have any questions or concerns about maintaining the paint, please feel free to contact me for insight.

As for teaching the "rare eager", I feel and have always felt that the best way to become an expert at anything is to try to teach it to others. Teaching forces you to break things down into separate processes, study these processes to gain a full insight and understanding of what's really going on with them, and then figure out a way to connect with the student on their level so that they can fully understand what they're taking the time to learn. Teaching is a great way to get out of one's self and bond with another human being. It builds character and confidence in both the student and the teacher, so you could say it often times helps the teacher more so than the student.

I will be meeting up with a young lady from the Philadelphia area this Saturday to hopefully give her lots of insight into the different paint correction and car care practices in general. Heck who knows, maybe someday I can earn a living at teaching this stuff. Oh, that reminds me...I'd be down with holding that seminar with your car club if we can work out the logistics of it all. We'll talk on that one.:dblthumb2:

Thanks Jake.

I feel that I was a bit tied up that day. Tied up to Colt that is, and didn't really contribute much to the day. If you guys can let me know when you plan on getting together again, I'd love to drop Colt off for a visit with his Grandma for the day so I could come back down there and really get involved in a project that you guys take on. Perhaps some "Extreme Detailing" where rotary buffing and DA polishing are at the forefront of the project, or maybe even an extreme interior reconditioning. Anything really though, because you guys really are a great group to be a part of. I'd make the trip again in a heartbeat.

Here are a few pics from the most recent bunch you've sent. Make sure to thank your father for taking the time to man the camera for us.:props:

Thanks PapaSmurf. You go to the NOVA Team Detailing get togethers right? Any Idea on when the next one will be.

Dave,

We will keep updating our NOVA thread. Subscribe to it here.

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/63027-northern-virginia-team-detail-anyone-30.html

Our meet is set at August 24th. I am in talks with the rest of the guys to see what to do for food, products, tools .etc

I am working on cleaning up the garage for more space, having more available outlets and add the interior detailing to the mix. The last two meets we focused on paint correction.

Hope to see you soon. We are humbled by your opinion of us. BTW, I used your paste wax and dressing on a production detail I did last week it came out :xyxthumbs:.
