i cant afford souveran or blackice. so i was looking what u guys recommend for a wax that looks awesome on black for under 50 bucks? i was looking at petes 53. Also thought about just for giggles seeing how megs black wax does. any help guys?

hmm ive heard good things about max wax. i used pinnacle ssii on it the other day. i looked good but i thought it could be better. i do it by hand and i used klasse aio first then topped with ssii. any other suggestions beside klasse as well? i plan on getting some pinnacle paintwork lotion to see if that helps. i also have some collonite 845 on hand as well.

Megs Black Wax is an AIO
Try Wolfgangs DGPS 3.0

Collinite 915

Best wax in the price point, period.

Actually you could get #915 for pure looks and #476 for durability and spend about $50.00, LOL. Maybe substitute #476 for #845....no wait, spend a little more and get all 3!

Has anyone ever tried TW black box? I know how the general attitude here is for that company,, but have seen a few vids and trying to be open minded.

Question 2, with Megs being an AIO, it comes with a black applicator pad, is it just a colour to match the product or is it "black pad" density like a DA pad? Would you want to use a LC black pad or the red applicator flat pad?

Also, I am planning on trying out HDUNO on a black car. Then for the polish one of the black wax kits followed by 3M show car synth wax.

I have, bought it and used it for couple cars. Worked ok, not a real wet look. Durability was not good month month half tops. Collinite products looked much better IMO. Stains the hell out of pads cloths hands. Not the worst product I've tried.

In the end if it works on black it works on white. Get a quality wax that you can afford. Color specific waxes really do not make enough of a difference for the daily driver. IMO they are great waxes with a niche market. Dodo (I'm not pointing fingers or knocking their products.) makes great wax. I'm sure few would be able to tell the wax made for red vs made for black in a blind test.
I'm a Pete's 53 fan but your going to get more mileage out of Collinite Insulator Wax. It's more of a sealant.
XXX Hardcore is a great wax for $20. Someone posted a thread here with it as a comparison wax and it really showed some great qualities. The pics were on a black car.

You should just prep the paint very well and any wax will look good on your paint.
But if I had to choose, collinite 915 looks great on black and hides small imperfections.

yeah i use 845 for the winter months and use ssii for summer waxes. i prep with klasse. like i said its all by hand so that may be as good as i can get it although i might try wdgps. topped with either 845 or ssii. still got 3/4 of a jar of ssii and had it for 2 years lol
