Testing different interior dressings

For some reason, I really enjoy doing side by side testing with different products. I don't use a lot of different interior "dressings" other than 303 Aerospace Protectant. I think I want to find a product that will give me a little less "dressed" look.

In this test, I simply cleaned the panel with Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner (I will use QIDC to clean interiors before applying any dressings). I then applied 303 Aerospace Protectant to one side per their directions. This test was completed on my 2006 Acura TL.







As you can see in the photos, 303 gives the panel a very dark look to it. I really like 303, but what else is on the market that is kind of middle of the road between the bare panel and 303?

As I buy more interior products, I'll be sure to do more side by sides with various ones and update this thread. It'd be a nice reference for someone to look at and possibly make a better decision on what they want to buy/try.

Once my aluminum sheet comes back from the painters, I will be doing a bunch of different exterior/paint side by sides and hopefully I will allocate different types trim to test.

(I can test products that I don't plan on buying if someone has the product and wants to send me 1/4oz or so to do the test)
 
What are some other interior dressings people would like compared side by side?
 
I like CG Silk Shine the best. I have used 303 and many others, just find this to my liking. Not a dust magnet and not too shiny and leaves a great scent behind in the vehicle.
 
I love 303 for interiors. Haven't found anything that compares.

I'd like to see duragloss vinyl and leather dressing tested. I want to try it out but haven't got it yet.

I would suggest Klasse Cleaner/Protectant.

I just started using the DG vinyl and leather and it is awesome, all DG products never let me down:xyxthumbs:

I've heard it's good stuff but has a weird smell. And that it could be used on exterior and it's pretty durable.
 
I recently used mother's VLR. So far I like it.
 
I use Hi-Tech Quick shot vinyl dressing. Smells good and lightly mists. But I only use it on older vehicles and only on the lower half of the interior. In new vehicles I try not to dress if it doesn't need it. Has anyone else used this stuff?
 
You also may want to try Meguiar's Natural Shine. It's relatively inexpensive and available OTC. I've caught numerous passengers in my DD rubbing their hands on the door panel. Knowing my obsession with vehicle care, they expect the vinyl has been treated, but there's no noticeable gloss. Once they feel the slick vinyl, the question is usually "How do you get it slippery without any shine?"

If you want a excellent dressing for the interior that wont leave a shine try out Ultima Interior Guard Plus. Leaves everything silky smooth and repels stains like no ones business. It is all I use on all of my client vehicles as well as my own. One bottle lasts forever and a day also. Ive detailed at least 20 cars part time this summer and the bottle is only half way done.
 
Thanks for all the recommendations. Will have to get my hands on some and test them side by side for myself and for others to view to see what they like if they are looking to purchase something.

I use to own that. Love the smell of it. But I can't remember much about since that was about 7-8 years ago.
 
If you haven't yet, you need to try Perl. You can dilute it however you like for the level of gloss you want. I have it and I use it all the time.
