Worn cutting pad! can I use it?

I have a semi worn orange lake country medium cutting pad. The edges are rounded and frail. Is it ok to use this pad for a medium or heaving cutting compound to remove light oxidation on a black 2008 jeep wrangler base coat with clear coat. I don't want to cause more problems but don't want to waste money either. When do you decide to throw a pad out?

Save the ones on "death row" for boats or the painted edge in the wheel well

I was going to recommend the same thing. Cut them into squares and triangles and use them around emblems, wheel wells, tire gel application, etc. Uses are damn near endless.

Like others have said...cut 'em up and use them for 'hand work.'

Or cut it up and use it to polish hard to reach areas.

I agree use it in areas like fender well edges or cut it up for hand polishing areas.
