Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

This isn't a comment about "driving behind someone" but rather this just frustrates me:

I pay $50.00 a month for underground parking that's fairly heated, as far as when I park my car and its got snow and ice on it when I come from work at night that its clear and dry when I go to work, doesn't this supercar deserve better, its a V10/6 speed too!

There is a Tesla Model S and a Nissan GTR that are both DD even in the winter here in Sheridan. The GTR doesn't even get a parking lot to sleep in, it sleeps in the street in front of the guys house. You would think they deserve better also. My boss drives his GT 500 if the roads are 'dry' in the winter. Still full of sand and crap though

The GTR outfront of a house is a bigger deal since it can be slid into at any given time, yes I know an accident can happen at any given time as well but still. The GT500, even on a dry, cold road is a terrible idea since its got sooooo much power!

Funny you bring up the Tesla because this guy has brought a Fisker home before too, his DD is a Roush stage 3 that's not taken care of one bit, haven't seen that car in a while though but the hood was buckled, rear bumper all scraped up, swirls galore, bald rear tires (understandable). Funny thing is all 3 cars have the same vanity plate but with different styled plates.

I'm not jealous of anyone with money but rather a real car guy that hates seeing such nice rides abused like that. Yesterday, after our snow storm I saw a "Terminator" Cobra out and about, seriously, IRS and all that power:nomore:

Johnny T's NYC Tourist Tips: Get Outta The Way, You're A Jerk

^ 1) Slow drivers and those who brake w/o reason (aka many old people, some teens, and anyone else who fits the bill) (See 1:22 "there's two speeds in NY...move fast, or get outta the way" :P)
2) Contrary to #1, those who drive fast/crazy during a snowstorm....you pose a risk to the rest of us!
3) People who don't use turn signals. This one makes me crazy. I am not a mind reader.
4) people who use brights after you flash them, and/or HID/xenon/LED lights. I've driven cars with them and I don't find them to be much more advantageous than regular lights when driving, and when they're facing you at night and youre tired... theyre very distracting. (though they do allow for cool car designs: i.e. Audi)
3) people who litter (cigs, mcdonalds/local deli meals etc). This is huge, because although I love cars, I also care very much about our earth, and it saddens me that people are so willing to obliterate it.
4) People who cant make up their mind while driving, are utterly oblivious, and/or under the influence.
5) People who stop too slowly or to abruptly
6) People doing stupid, crazy maneuvers (looking at the driver next to you if you forgot you needed to get into the turning lane, and then, subsequently squeezing your way in is one thing..... driving 60 in a 30, stopping to a halt, and squeezing your way between a line of cars that's piled up in the straight lane where they're almost blocking the turning lane, to almost hit the car in front of you when you stop and cause a pile-up is different)

I see #3 all the time and got FLAMED by a couple forum members for saying this but smokers are pigs, in general, so if your going to flame me again, bring it, 9 degrees right now, need to warm up anyways, LOL!

I won't comment on things that make me want to put a cow catcher on my vehicle and push people off the road.

However one day I was sitting at a traffic light in my big black car, with the pretty little red/blue lights on it, dog barking like crazy and some POS looks at me from his car window and tosses garbage out it. After the amazement passed over me, he left with a date to see the judge.

Some folks in my neighborhood would actually think this would be a pretty good way of disguising it from the DEA for awhile.

Bob

Well... it's all wheel drive, right?

What's the saying, "More money than sense".

Thought y'all already had "cow catchers" on your cars? :D

:joking:
(At least they do around here.)

Hmmmm, didn't think of that.

Yeah its AWD and with proper load rated snow tires you could drive it in snow, although anything over a half a foot could turn it into an impressive looking snow shovel, LOL!

Ya know sometimes, ya just can't fix stupid.

Good job Sir! :xyxthumbs:, nope...:dblthumb2:

Someone tossed a lit cigarette out their window in front of me and I saw it bounce off my painted bumper. Luckily no mark but it's infuriating

I've said it many times before, people who use cell phones while driving. they need to hire undercover cops and ticket them, enough is enough already. no slap on the wrist for a first offense either, $500 and traffic school. like one bumper sticker read, "hang up & drive you're not that important"...

It isn't illegal here. Not sure, but I don't think it is illegal to text and drive either.

Not long ago...

My Aunt (that lives in Buffalo) and I had a lively discussion with some of the other Buffalo residents,
at the Buffalo Sports Bar & Grill 'hot-spot', regarding this very issue.

I agreed that the State itself was sparsely populated---when compared to more populated States,
wherein use of electronic devices while driving, were heavily regulated.

But, at the least, (I argued), there should be some restraint of their use:
If not for the regard of people...Then respect for the indigenous wildlife that roams the Free Ranges.
Especially those that boarder on extinction---like the Jackalope!!

Later on (as I was nearing Wall Drug Store on my drive back to Ohio), my Aunt texted me that the City Council was having a Special-called Meeting to put this issue on the Ballot.

Updates to follow.

:)

Bob

Txting and driving is just stupid, talking on your phone and driving shouldn't be so hard...."shouldn't" being the key word here.

Heres one that seemed to bug me, I'm all for driving what you can in snowy weather as long as you do it in a safe manner. I'm driving to chicago this one night when it had been snowing all day, roads were OK but definitely not good. I'm driving my 2000 jeep cherokee 4x4 and I see this 2006ish saturn vue coming up FAST behind me. He has his lights flashing like he had somewhere to be way to quick. Now if you have to get somewhere quick, OK, but dont be an ass about it, flashing lights a few times while your coming up on someone, fine. I get over, this guy was HAULING. I was doing about 55mph and he had to be doing 75-80mph. He slams on the brakes behind me as I'm getting over. (theres snow in between the lanes so I got over slowly) Then he lays on the horn. ok, ###. So when I get over the big ass benz suv in front of me waits till a clearing to get over. WELLLL the guy is laying on the horn and flashing his lights at the guy and he has no where to go. So I decide to give him a taste of his own medicine. I get behind him (at a safe distance) and turn on my brights and off road lights. both 130w Spot lights LOL. Well, he doesn't like this cause the dumbass sticks his hand out the window and flicks me off. Lol, well idiot, your doing pretty much the same thing to people. if he was just flashing his lights, allwell, but he was putting everyones lives in danger. So I called the cops on him and reported his license plates. Probably didn't do anything but still. Idiots like that frustrate me.

If I'm out messing around in my jeep I go places where no one else it. I've even had a cop stop me when I was out messing around in a middle of no where parking lot and he just told me thanks for doing it where no one else was and only stay there for a few more minutes. LOL

Cool story Daven, just glad it didn't go any further than that for sure. I hate when people do this but its an all too common thing here in Chicagoland, even semi drivers are aggressive but God knows where they're from though, so can't lump them altogether for sure. I drive all around Chicagoland all afternoon and into the night and it still amazes me how people don't know how to simply turn on their headlights, daytime running lights aren't lights, they only turn on your brights at a very reduced wattage and nothing else. These new cars must have dashboards that light up when the key turns, making the driver think the lights are on when they are not, this is dangerous and its usually a Nissan, Hyundai or Kia vehicle, just sayin'.

You are correct..I often see the lights off in your everyday car.

I often see Toyota Prius owners to be the worst, sorry!
