How is this for a starter set-up?

This is for a 2004 Mustang Mach 1 with Torch Red paint. It has seen the outdoors more than I could ever wish, as it as rarely been garage kept. It has also never really had proper detailing done to it. Swirls, scratches, webbing,... trying to get rid of MOST of these imperfections.

-- White Lake Country 5 1/2 Inch Flat Foam Pad (3 each)
-- Black Lake Country 5 1/2 Inch Flat Foam Pad (1 each)
-- Blue Lake Country 5 1/2 Inch Flat Foam Pad (1 each)
-- The Guzzler Waffle Weave by Cobra 16 x 24
-- The Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave By Cobra, 20 x 40 inches

Some thing I already have here at home like clay bar, buckets, quick detailer and some other various Mequires/Mothers products.

It's a lot of money, at least a lot at once. Guess you got to pay to play though. Please feel free to recommend me better products or if I am missing some.
 
I would remove the Meg's #7 since you'll probably remove the swirls with the 105/205 combo. And remove the Meg's #26 since you are getting the sealant unless you really want to top it with a wax. I'm looking at this from the prospective of buying those things I've mentioned at a later time since it can be a lot of money to spend all at once and once you start getting into the business/hobby you'll want to try everything new! Haha
 
Get yourself at least one grit guard. I would
Go with a different sealant the M21 instead I would do Collinite 845, blackfire wet diamond paint sealant, or Wolfgang paint sealant 3.0. You will See much longer protection life from those than you will 21. If you want a wax but don't want to break the back look at DP Max Wax it's a great choice and isn't too expensive.
 
Thanks for the quick suggestions. Everything else look decent such as the pads? I have a good feeling the orange pad will do the trick with the 105 with the level of ugly my paint has. Since I will be doing this I wouldn't mind doing the sealant AND wax thing so thanks for the 845 and DP Max Wax suggestions. Could use all the protection I can get living in New Mexico where it seems the average day has 30 mph and sand blasting the whip.
 
Sweet, can't wait to get my red paint looking like "arrest-me-red" again lol. Seems like the majority of this board are all over the Wolfgang's sealant so I will probably cough up the dough for that. I feel like why waste a good polishing job by using a poor sealant? Like I said, the area I live in is horrible... windy, sandy, and dry. So a good sealant/wax is something I feel is best to invest in.
 
Meg's #26 wax is great it gives off a nice warm look

Wolfgang line is a great line and the sealant well a little big goes a very long way so you will have it around for a while and it's definitely worth the purchase.
 
Get some APC. And what about the interior, everyone always lists outside stuff, never inside. You spend more time in than out people lol ;-)

But APC for tough stuff, and get some good glass cleaner!

APC = All Purpose Cleaner? The inside definitely needs some love as well. Being an aircraft mechanic, things get a little dirty inside the car especially the steering wheel and I am sure the shifter is filthy. You can also see where sand has found its way into cracks and crevices of the car. I hate it here.

Plus, don't forget windshield sealant. I like Aquapel. Applied it almost a year ago and it is still beading. Says a lot with all this rain we have had.
 
Maybe substitute your current pads for the Lake Country HydroTech line? I have used them and prefer it 1000 times over the CCS line. I think contemporary reviews of the HT pads have been good, but some more research would confirm or deny this.

I'm going to give these flat pads a whirl and if they don't do the job I will try something else
