Looking for a detailer in Sicamous, BC

Had a potential client call me wondering if I could come to him or if I knew anyone near him that was reputable. He's a 5 hour drive from me so I'd like to find him someone closer. He has a full size Dodge pickup, Toyota Venza and two Corvettes - an 01 and an 06.

How to wash and dry LC Pads?

That brush is to remove polish residue from the pad between passes while polishing. After polishing, spray the pads with pad cleaner and let stand for 5 - 10 minutes. Massage under warm running water. Squeeze excess water out and place velcro side up on a wire rack or shelf. I have put mine in...

how many swirl removal can I do?

205 should remove those light swirls. Even if you used 205 on a white pad 2-3 times a year you would never go through your clear. The amount of clear that combo will remove is almost immeasurable.

    Help! Correcting Holograms/ Dry Buff

If 105 and 205 aren't removing the swirls and it has in fact been repainted then it is possible that the damage is under the clear. I've seen it a few times as well. That would also explain why the key marks came out and the surrounding swirls were still there.

    Help! Correcting Holograms/ Dry Buff

When polishing, you want to stop the machine when the polish goes clear. That means that you can still see that there is polish residue on the paint, but you can easily see your reflection in it. Once you go past this point, you are going to be dry buffing are marring your paint. How much polish...

    Had fun today!

I worked on a new GT CS a while ago and didn't find the clear that hard. The reason it seems hard is that the dealer installed damage is so deep! If you are using a PC, try the B&S Yellow with Menz Power Finish and the green with Final Finish and you should be fine.

    Favorite Car Wash

I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with Flash on this one. I'm not saying throw the instructions away, but try it in different dilutions to see what works. Our water is so soft we can let black cars air dry in the summer. If I used 1oz of DG901 per gallon, it would take me a week to...

    Comparative Product to M105?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! M105 is a COMPOUND. SIP is a POLISH. It would be impossible for SIP to cut better than 105.

Best Bleeding Car Contest - Iron X

This one is from the tailgate on a clients truck we did a while ago. Had a client bring us an Infiniti with these polished aluminum wheels. After washing with APC, the wheels and brake calipers were still caked in brake dust. As any acid based product would instantly stain the faces and...

Here are some pics of the inside of my Savana. The water tank, rack and most of the equipment was transferred out of my Astro.

Astro Van or Pick up Truck?

My Astro got 13-14mpg fully loaded. It never struggled with the weight, even with the full water tank in the back.

Astro Van or Pick up Truck?

I ran a 97 Astro for 3 years and then switched to a 04 GMC Savanna. The Savanna(4.8L V8) got horrible mileage. Around 11. Find one with a 5.7L or 6.0L The engine was always working plus they put 4.11s in the rearend. Having said that, it was only a few mpg less than the Astro, but came with way...

Detailer on a budget.. Need some help.

I agree. This brush is way better than the EZ or Daytona. The wire running through it is stiffer so you can apply a little more pressure on the really dirty areas and it'll fit pretty much anywhere the other two will. Doesn't need a cap as the wire is nicely rounded at the top so it can't...

Cost to Restore 1980 Tran Am?

Here is a pic of a Camaro my client restored himself other than bodywork. It was a rotisserie restoration done in his garage over two years. Even rebuilt the motor himself and every part down to nuts and bolts is new. Cost including body and paint was over $70k and he did ALL the labour himself...
