Thanks for the information everyone. I totally see your point about using a dedicated polish and then follow up with a sealant. Since it has been stored inside all of its life I don't think it will need compounding and polishing hence the "one step" thought. However, it sounds like I will...
I'm looking at one step products like the Blackfire One Step etc. to provide some correction and protection for my truck. It's a daily driver but in very good shape for its age and would like to protect what's left. I will follow up with a sealant etc. for longevity. Just looking for a little...
I've been out of the loop for a while so I could use the the collective wisdom this very capable group.
I just bought a 2005 GMC Canyon with only 74K on it from a family friend. It is Arctic White and has been garage stored so is in surprisingly good shape. I'm primarily interested in...
Yep 1997 Chevy Silverado. If it was there prior to treatment I didn't notice it. I have a couple of places on the roof where failure is beginning as well. I was afraid that it was beginning to fail. Oh well. Thanks everyone for the response. Do you thing some of the clear bra material will...
Hello All. Took my first stab at compounding and polishing using M101 and M102 with a DA and noticed these on the leading edge of my hood. These are what appears to be tiny scratches some looking like stars etc. Me being a total newb I was a little concerned about getting more aggressive...
Thanks to all for the advice. I did place my order Sunday night and purchased a 12 pack of the pads. 5 Orange, 5 white and 2 black. I went with the 105/205 Meguiars but will look at the other products you all mentioned if I have issues learning with these. I also purchased the Lake Country...
Hello all,
I'm new to this and recently purchased a DA polisher to use on my truck. I am putting together an order as we speak and was wondering how much product will it take to get the job done. I am planning on using M105 and 205 with some Lake Country CCS 5.5 inch pads to get the job done...
No prob at all with my blue mitts. Have had them over a year. I like the Stoners IG. I've been using it for several years. Doesn't mean I won't try some of the others mentioned. This has been a great thread for me as I haven't tried a lot of different products. Lots of good info.
Excellent, thanks. It is a musty sort of smell. My 97 Z71 is way before cabin filters. I was able to clear the drain by pulling out the blower motor. Thanks for the info on the product. I will get some asap.
Thanks again.
