Personally, Id be more worried about them taking my trailor (.. and MY LIVELYHOOD) with them because of some technicality.... I would remove the trailor at night....

Surf, If you have a parent company, do they store your email? Why dont you call them and ask.... Also, sometimes, POP3 leaves a copy on the server even after you download them to your PC... maybe you have that setting checked? (But then they would download once you "popped" your email...)...

If you have a "local PST file" and you didnt back it up (and you use POP3 email) your emails are gone.... If you have a mail server and use "Exchange" (doubtful) for your business, then they are saved on your server somewhere (your business server if you have one!)

If its taking 10 minutes to boot-yp, its not a video/sound issue... Im still staying Hard Drive... ofcourse, without being there.... its tough to say... Put your ear to where the HD is in your laptop, and see if its making any weird noises.... I've also seen the "sleep mode" screw up PC's...

I agree with Dan above... the reformat/reinstall is simply the best thing to do..... Just make sure EVERYTHING you want to save (pics, important docs, mp3's, videos, mail if its stored locally, bookmarks, etc) are backup up onto a tape or DVD and just FORMAT and INSTALL fresh.... Unfortunatly...

Surf... Its been a while since I've posted, but I will say you have some hard Drive issue.... Everything you are saying is pointing to some caching issue to the hard drive.... Do some maintenance with these free programs.... Just be careful what you delete... WinDirStat WinDirStat - Reviews...
