Alleged "Detailing" Shop = epic FAIL

If I corrected to perfection every customer's car that came to me for a wash I'd be a broke detailer. Just something to consider when looking at the specifics of a situation like some of the above. I don't always successfully sell that needed paint correction, but I won't refuse to properly wash...

Bicycle detailing - 1985 Mongoose Expert

Yes, I had (and have) a Mongoose Blue Max (sold @ military PXs) that came with a nickel finish. I believe there may be some Motomags that came with that finish as well. I have a Motomag I'm restoring (going to powdercoat) along with an early Expert with the embossed BMX logo on the head tube. I...

    IDA question for you, Mike.

I also came from an industry with certification and professional standards (software), and I had the same questions when I first learned of the IDA. Best All Around Polishing Compound?

Joe, you got that right. While FG400 is my go-to, I've tried every product mentioned in this thread except the Scholl's, and I own most of them, the FCC and CC is amazing stuff. Griot's is really stepping up their game

    All purpose cleaner

The McKee's 37 Hi Intensity APC is amazing - concentrate goes a loooooong way, works on many surfaces including leather. Highly recommend this stuff

Single stage paint, Toyota Tundra. Chalky much?

I just did one of these on Friday. Truck sat in El Paso driveway for years, now back in Austin. Had to go to FG400, tried AIO (xmt360) and polish (205) w poor results. Went through almost 20 orange pads as it gummed up fast.

Hmmm - is that a Z console? Did you just rub on it with your finger or use microfiber or some other kind of media?
