Thank you for posting this test - very interesting. Its got me curious about the opposite - what products reduce dusting?

Help with brown spots on my white paint!

I get these spots all the time on my white car. They are brutal but disappear with time under mysterious circumstances. I’m guessing fishOrfly is correct but you can also search ”pollen on white car” or bee pollen or bee poo and you’ll see others dealing with the same thing. Other than waiting...

    Carpro Clarify - initial review

Thank you for posting this. I’ve been getting bad streaks as well. I wonder if it is from cleaning so “good” that it is partially removing the layer of ECH2O I had used on my vehicle in prior washes which somehow leads to the streaking. Previously I had used Stoner Glass Cleaner which worked...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Every once in a while I see a whale passing through there in Redondo. Nice ride/pictures.

gripaddict Thanks for the dislikes lol. Grow up and follow the rules of the forum

Perhaps this is off topic but it’s worth noting how much I enjoy this forum. Life is stressful and I find the discussions (and even arguments) about the smallest details relaxing. I’m a politically opinionated person and I enjoy the lack of politics and other controversial topics. At the end of...

    New Car Napa leather maintanence?

Does it help with sunscreen? It seems Audi leather, in my limited experience, opens up its pores for sunscreen and then locks it in.

    New Car Napa leather maintanence?

I have the same car, same leather, 2019. I used carpro Cquartz leather. It made it slightly darker and does little to prevent the heavy sunscreen my family uses but water seems to bead slightly better on it. CarPro Cquartz Leather Coating For cleaning i used carpro inside: CarPro Inside Leather...

CQuartz UK applied with no prep work - how to best remove

This is very helpful - THANK YOU. All of the suggestions on this thread are going to help as I dive into it this weekend. I tried one round of the discontinued Griots Garage Paint Prep as I had it on hand but nothing much came of it (as expected).

CQuartz UK applied with no prep work - how to best remove

You're right on all counts. I'll purchase part of the nanoskin system (looks like they have a few good products). What makes all of this really bad is I paid someone a lot of money to do this.... It would be easier to stomach if I had done it (in fact, I have done it before).

Mother's is the only one I've tried. I'll order the Meguiars. Thank you for the tip.

CQuartz UK applied with no prep work - how to best remove

I have tons of unused new polishing pads. Are there other negatives to polishing with contamination (I can see and feel it)? Perhaps throw the pads away after one panel/section? With regards to why I would polish first, i would only do it in the interest of time as the claying is taking a long...

CQuartz UK applied with no prep work - how to best remove

I may have to try this or go straight to polishing as mentioned previously as using the clay bar is very very slow going. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CQuartz UK applied with no prep work - how to best remove

I was under the impression that the contamination would get smeared around and scratch the paint? Maybe I’m crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CQuartz UK applied with no prep work - how to best remove

It's too painful to describe how this happened but on a new white Audi CQuartz was applied yesterday with little to no prepwork beyond a basic car wash. I can see and feel contaminants in the paint. Strong claying seems to be removing the contaminants at the expense of marring. Would it be...
