    Mckees or metro car dryer

I switched from a cordless leaf blower the the Master Blaster. I have it wall mounted though I sometimes roll it around. In my opinion, the two biggest benefits over a shop vac or leaf blower are that the air is filtered and it is warm (after a few minutes). I use CarPro HydrO2 when rinsing and...

    Cleaning filthy wheels

Depending on whether the wheels are painted and clear coated, you may want to try an acid wash. I've used Nanotech Speedybrite. Meguiar's have a similar product. Both are nasty, need to be diluted, but get the job done. Not something you want to use all the time, and you want hand, eye and...

Suggestions for self-inflicted marring on a vinyl decal

I was trying to get some spots off the black vinyl decals on the hood of a Mini Cooper. They look like water spots and one in particular looks like it came from the windshield washer fluid as there is a big circular splodge next to the windshield washer nozzle. The entire car was clean. The...

    Leather dye for steering wheel?

I've had good success with the Leatherworld product. See this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/850376-leather-seat-repair-using-leatherworld-2.html#post11924901 A couple of years on and it is holding up well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Car Detailing Routine

Take a look at this video. Ignore the products mentioned - It is a good demo of the techniques for wheels. I find that unless I wash my alloys and agitate using the wheel woolie or wash mitt, the faces don't get as clean as they should be or have missed spots. It has to be said that I've...

    Steam cleaning fabric convertible top

This is a short video about cleaning a light-colored fabric convertible top. There were a few greasy marks and what turned out to be abrasion presumably due to the top rubbing against something in the mechanism while folded up.

    Car Detailing Routine

I would start with the wheels using separate everything: bucket, wash mitt, etc. I'm assuming that you're going to be using some kind of wheel cleaner, which means that you'll need to rinse it off. Undoubtedly some of that spray will get onto the bodywork, which is why I'd wash the rest of the...

Glass coating on windshield with rain sensor?

I have Aquapel on my windshield, which has a rain sensor. No ill effects and it has been raining a bunch here.

New Guy getting started and looking for guidance on products

I would get the IronX or similar. I would also recommend the wheel woolies pack of 3. Just got them and they make cleaning wheels much easier in my opinion. You may also want to consider something like CarPro HydrO2 or similar once you've done everything. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Tips you wish you would have known for CQuartz

Are the CarPro ones the suede ones or more like traditional microfiber? I don't feel that I'm removing much with the suede - just moving the stuff around. Maybe that just means I applied too much of the product. Frankly, I found it a pain to apply. I'm near Seattle so it is cold here. I'm sure...

Tips you wish you would have known for CQuartz

Yes - use the suede towels. Anything else is going to leave bits behind and probably just isn't fine enough. You can order them online. I did CQuartz UK on a dark blue Porsche 911. I was not happy with the results because even though I thought I had applied it evenly and removed it evenly with...
