Glass coating on windshield with rain sensor?

Can you use one with no ill effects on such a windshield? I am planning on using Mckees 37 glass coating.

I have Aquapel on my windshield, which has a rain sensor. No ill effects and it has been raining a bunch here.

That rain sensor is detecting visible light, coating has no effect. Or are you talking about the beading?

My rain sensor is terrible, and with my glass coating, guess what: it's still terrible.

(But water flies off of it like nobody's business!)
