To do a windshield you're going to use not much more than 1cc - 2cc at most. I believe each pump of the sprayer is 0.1cc and you'll only need a dozen or so compressions to do that size area. So $80 isn't too bad if you consider the consumption compared to others.

Opti-Coat doesn't claim 9H MOHs Scale. It claims 9H in the Wolff Wilborn pencil test for scratch resistance which is what most coatings use to measure.
You see coatings in this test use 500g and 1000g and claim 9H with the pencil.

Reference the thickness of the coating, 0.002mm is the equivalent to 2 microns right?
So if we do the math 30% solid content of the Opti-Coat Pro, then (roughly) 3cc of coating should be able to provide 500 square cm of 2 micron...

I think OC leaves just as good shine and gloss as anything. Prep work equal.
I agree I see people writing it on forums but I don't believe it to be true.
Never had any issues with Opti-Coat. I've seen how it performs, so if I was to have any problems in the future I'd have to blame myself and not the product.
