been doing lots of reading and just wondering is the porter cable going to be able to do the job of removing the (scratches) from the rotary buffer and wool pad? or should i be looking into the flex 3401? thanks

okay ill stick with the zepher compound for now on the rotary. finally found some captains compound but it wont be in stock from the place i found it for another 4 weeks, but will be ordering some for sure.

what compound would you recommend to use with the rotary besides the captains compound due to me not being able to get it? i dont mind buying another compound for the rotary if its gonna produce good results.

also with the rupes wool pads on the rotary do i need the rupes rotary compound? or will i be fine with the rupes zephir gloss coarse gel compound for both on rotary and DA?

i ordered 6 white flat polishing pads by lake country to use with mothers cleaner wax on my truck. will those work with the flag ship on my boat?

went ahead and ordered a bunch of stuff tonight that was recommend on here to tackle the job. ordered the lake county 125MM (4-3/4") rotary backing plate. is that the right one for the rupes wool pads? also for the waxing stage i was looking at using the meguiars Flagship Premium Marine Wax...

what backing plate would i need and also how many pads roughly to do the boat? looks like they hold up pretty well.

looks like a pretty intense set up you got there mike. okay thanks i will stick with the Zephir Gloss Compound for now and try to track down some of the captains compound. i will wait and see what you recommend before i place a order. thanks

hey mike, i found some marine 31 products that i can get in canada. Marine 31 heavy cut oxidation cleaner, marine 31 wax marine 31 all in one gel coat polish and wax. would any of these better for my purpose. ZEPHIR GLOSS course compound vs Marine 31 thanks
