I just used Opti Coat 2.0 on My 06 Acura TL and GFG Chrome rims. I honestly bought it to see how it would protect my Wheels. Well after I was finished I applied it to my 09 Trek Mountain Bike which is Matte White in color. I laid the Opti Coat pretty thick actually hoping it would give the matte...
The compounding stage it the most important for removing the defects so make sure the deeper scratches are gone before you move on. Depending on the hardness of your paint you may need to do multiple passes and apply more compound polish and go over the same panel multiple times to get the...
I have the Flex as well and it is a great machine. The video above gives a fair representation of how much Compounding polish to use when removing heavy defects. I find that when I am compounding the paint its because the paint is in pretty bad condition. For this reason you will probably have...
Truck looks amazing! Nice work! A slightly more in depth write up would have been nice, such as speeds used on the Rotary, how long did this truck take you start to finish< did you have a helper? What product did you use with the #000 Steel wool on the rims/skirts?
I have recently experienced this same thing. I shook the bottle forever but to no avail. I have had this over a year now and it was nice and creamy at the beginning but now watery with what looks like little white chunks?? Appears that it has broken down somehow
I personally would go with the 106FA. Your choice? but I would definitely advise you to go with either one or the other...not both! That in my opinion would be a great waste of money and total over kill for you. They both finish down very well as they are both Finishing polishes as you pointed...
Hey Nice Job! Now that's the way that car is Supposed to look! Looks Amazing! I'll bet you're turning heads with that car and that super reflective glossy paint! :D
Ryan, the paint is prob just really hard. You will most likely have to hit the area's with multiple passes to get the desired effect. You can certainly go with wool if you have it. Either way work the hyper compound until its sufficiently broken down and then reapply some more and more if...
I wet sand alot when dealing with cars that had minor accidents and rubbed against another car etc. Some times polishing alone can fix the problem but most often I need to wet sand the scratches down. This can completely remove some deeper scratches and sometimes it merely minimizes the damage...
