Does anyone know how to keep the brown rings from coming back when I shampoo the seats?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Parttimer, I think you are right, I'm going to have to change my technique. When you think about it, it doesn't really matter what is left in the middle of a foam seat, what matters is that the top cloth part is good. Or else I will be there all day trying to...

Does anyone know how to keep the brown rings from coming back when I shampoo the seats?

I've been using that Durrmaid extractor on the seats. And it cleans them beautifly. But, they always come back with the brown rings, and I aint diggin that too much. Is there anything I can do to not get the brown rings? Do I need to invest in a steamer?

    Pressure Washer

In my honest opinion. Yes, it is well worth the money. But it is like a double edged sword, it can do a lot of harm. I own a 3500 PSI pressurewasher, and it really packs a punch, I am able to take bugs off easily, take tar off easily, and brake dust. But if you are not careful, you can take the...

Thinking about wearing a helmet when I detail....

I know yall think this is funny, but I am dead serious. I almost got knocked out. Thankfully I was still focused and could cordinate, but if I would have gotten knocked out and fell in the water I would have been dead. Thanks but I was thinking something more like a motorcycle helmet. A...

Thinking about wearing a helmet when I detail....

I was detailing a boat today. And I was using a buffer with a wool pad on it, and when I got around one of the railings the pad caught on to one of the rope anchors and flew out of my hands and hit me in the forehead. Thankfully I didn't suffer a concussion, but it could have been deadly if I...

    UV Protection

I think a lot of the problem with waxes is that they contain Petrollium Distillates, and when this is mixed with UV rays it does more harm than good. I'm pretty sure Opti-Coat does not have any. Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe a pro can chime in here

    Water tank protection?

You could paint it, but that would require sanding and some flexable rubbery paint

What is the most embarrassing detailing incident you have done?

For me, when I was 18 I had a really nice looking truck. 2000 Chevy Xtreme, to this day I think they are the koolest little trucks. Anyway, I was waxing it with turtle wax (yes I know, I know, retarded) and I was putting it on super thick, I mean my truck looked like it was swimming in a pool of...

    What got you into detailing?

I have always been a neat freak. From the time I learned how to clean my own room I've always made my room look as if I was in boot camp. I got my first truck when I was 16, and learned a little from taking care of it myself. After doing that I realized "Damn I'm pretty good at this" and shortly...

    How Important Is PH Level?

From what I understand, the PH has nothing to do with how safe something is. Like a lot of wheel cleaners are very acidic but they are safe for most rims. Well muratic acid is also very acidic, (15,000 times more acidic than water) but just because something is an acid doesn't mean it's going to...
