Does anyone know how to keep the brown rings from coming back when I shampoo the seats?

I've been using that Durrmaid extractor on the seats. And it cleans them beautifly. But, they always come back with the brown rings, and I aint diggin that too much. Is there anything I can do to not get the brown rings? Do I need to invest in a steamer?

Google "wick back" or "wickback," I am not sure if it is a compound word or not. You can apply an encap product and/or a neutralizing rinse product to avoid the problem.

Well that's a bummer. What's your technique and product/s?
I always presoak the fabric, then rinse with just clean water and never have any issues (fingers crossed).

Some things to consider if you are not already doing them

Reduce flow from the wand, if it's adjustable
Additional extraction passes, at least 3 slow passes after your wet pass
Use a fiber rinse as your extractor solution
Get some air movers to dry the fabric much faster

Thanks for the replies everyone. Parttimer, I think you are right, I'm going to have to change my technique. When you think about it, it doesn't really matter what is left in the middle of a foam seat, what matters is that the top cloth part is good. Or else I will be there all day trying to make it perfect. I have a feeling that technique is the key

After extraction, dry clean the seats with a micro or terry towel as much as you can. Then crank up the heat for 15 min or so.During the drying process the rings may appear lightly, take some stain remover on a dry towel and rub again vigorously.

U could try pre treating with folex... it's cheap and effective
