Just to follow up... I washed the car with Reset this morning and finished up the second coat this afternoon. There's a couple of high spots that I missed when buffing that are here to stay for awhile. Luckily, not in very visible locations.
This is my first time using CQuartz and it will be...
Thanks for the advice everyone!
Shortly after posting I took a look at the rinseless wash I have and apparently I had forgotten that it was a wash-n-wax so I ordered some Reset which should be here later today. I'll probably give a wash and recoat a try tomorrow.
As far as hazing, I had some...
Hi all,
I was able to do a minor paint correction and start applying CQuartz UK 3.0 this weekend but I ran out of time before I could get two coats on the whole car. I vastly underestimated how long this stuff takes to apply compared to the last product I used and wound up getting one coat on...
Primarily because I am trying to make use of what I have on-hand instead of going out and buying more stuff. I also have some WG swirl remover that I could use but it is probably a hair on the aggressive side for what I need.

Hi all,

I kept going after I posted and am making some progress. I started putting more elbow grease into it and finished the hood and a fender. I found the spot that was repainted on the fender and the...
Hi all!
I'm working my new-to-me MKZ and trying to undo some of the fun stuff the dealer left behind for me on the finish. After a thorough washing, I set out with my trusty little Nanoskin Autoscrubby sponge to remove what I thought was just a light layer of "lot grime" but I found instead...
Thanks for the tips everyone! The speed recommendations were going to be my next question. :)
It sounds like using the DA is the way to go - thinner, more even coverage and easier to remove.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I'm going to be working on my new-to-me Tuxedo Black Lincoln MKZ over Christmas week and have a question about applying the sealant and wax with a DA buffer - Griots 6" in my case.
First, let me cover my plan to see if anyone objects... After a good washing, I plan to hit it with a...
