    Product Name Poll

I just went with actual product descriptors used on actual brand names. If you guys want to throw out ideas for the ultimate names of brand/product maybe we could do a followup poll post and we can propose PBMG makes it :) I know I'd value the satisfaction of buffing off the product name you...

    Product Name Poll

Ignoring actual experience and results, I'm curious the impression people get from just the names of brands / products. Which brands would sound most durable? Which product descriptors sound shinniest? I picked 5 of each that I thought would draw the strongest impressions.

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

It's probably the same thing, but Wolfgang is for people who like using products that sound german and Blackfire is for people who like products that sound intense. I see a survey thread... Deep Gloss or Wet Diamond? Which sounds shinier? German or Intensity? Which sounds more durable?

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

Just an interesting update on the wolfgang sealant... Today, I got a cup of coffee from starbucks on my way in to work. I set it down on the roof of the car as I have done with cups of coffee for as long as I can remember. Nothing odd or extreme about the slope of my roof and I've never in...

    Collinite 840 and 845

Joke answer: To add $25-$40 to the cost of waxing your car and waste an hour of your time. Real answer: I just went through this same question and got my answer with the experience of using it. Visually on a relatively new car with great quality paint you probably won't notice a difference...

    Fuzion durability and maintenance?

It sounds like pinnacle souveran, wolfgang fusion, and mckees trademark waxes are incredibly similar from people's descriptions I've seen on here. I believe the souveran does not include polymers, but the others do. Since they are all PBMG, any chance these are all the same base wax? It would...

Cleaning questions and rain sticking to car

Yes, that wax is not substantial enough after a claying. It's more meant as a quick detailer for spot cleaning. As far as making your car whiter... a polish may help. My gf / exgf in process bought a white car that previously had decals applied to it. The white below the decals was much...

new kid on block looking for a polishing tool

Steve, Welcome to the forum. FYI - I used to work for harbor freight in a senior position that involved a thorough involvement in their product dev/qa/qc. Some of there tools are actually pretty good and I know many people have got good results even with their bad ones. What I try to alert...

    Harbor Freight DA 6" Polisher

The problem is most likely caused by corner cutting, cheap materials, no quality assurance, and half assed reverse engineering. Seriously, you can't expect this thing to perform. Get a real DA polisher. If customers have needed to crack it open and add grease for years just to get the thing...

new kid on block looking for a polishing tool

It is possible to get a 'good one' from HF, but the serious problem is the quality control. You never know when buying it if you got a good one or one with a messed up motor/switch that will go nuts and destroy your paint. Also, even if the one you bought is doing well, it could freak out in...

What wax is recommended to protect from,

I remember that stuff... Glad to get this back in perspective when I start to think that current day car care marketing is absurd... That is clearly the product this guy is talking about. I have not seen any other product claim to do this and unfortunately AURI is not available on AG.

new kid on block looking for a polishing tool

I say this way too often, but do not get the HF one. I used to work for them at corporate, it's garbage. A poorly reverse engineered porter-cable that has absolutely no qc/qa time devoted to it. The real porter-cable should hold up very well for your needs.

    The Summer is Here Sale!

I think you can still get the 20% off, just not the shipping deal. They should do a 15% and free shipping to canada on order over $150 sale for the 150th birthday.

Need help with scratches on a used car that I don't know how agressive I can be...

If you want to just hide it, turtle wax color magic can fill the scratches and make them a lot less noticeable. I'll generally do that after a good polishing rather than try to cut too deep into the paint, but that's partially because I don't have confidence in my skills for deep scratches. I...
