    Matte Black Wheel Cleaning

What are you agitating the barrels with; something like a Speedmaster brush that gets between the spikes and deep into the barrel? What type of car is this? When I wash my wheels I have to use two brushes. A long, thinner brush like the Speedmaster to get between the spokes and wash the...

How Agressive can I get with a scrub Ninja - Best Advice for Steering Wheels

I've seen them recommended from drivers in the autox scene because they are grippy (like you say), cheap and easy to get. However, they do acknowledge golf gloves don't hold up very well in a competitive environment with all the grime and being frequently taken on/off. They aren't good for...

How Agressive can I get with a scrub Ninja - Best Advice for Steering Wheels

Funny you should mention this. I was looking at gloves right before the event and one of our sponsors had a trailer set up with some products from his store. The gloves on display all had suede on the grip surface, so I was afraid that would be rather slippery on a leather wheel vs the...

    Which wheels and color?

This is my vote as well, or even a classic silver painted wheel (not polished or chrome). If you want a little flash, maybe a dark blue or a gunmetal blue. Same here as well. I've never been a fan of black wheels and hoped it would be a fad. Somehow the style persists.

How Agressive can I get with a scrub Ninja - Best Advice for Steering Wheels

My steering wheel can get pretty gross. Not from daily use, but because at least once/twice a month from March through October I spend a weekend doing autocross. Throughout one of those events my hands get covered in sunscreen, dirt and grime from checking tires, and plenty of sweat on the...

    ADS...The Story!

I don't get into the whole drama of the personalities behind any of the products. I don't watch any of the YouTube detailer video's (except for Guz's once in a while because I've been talking to him here many years before he made videos). I couldn't care less about that. I tried out ADS...

What are your go to products for Drying aides

I don't use a drying aid, but if I'm going to do a post-wash wipe down to remove any random water spots or feel like adding a little something to the surface, my favorites are Amplify or ECH2O (mixed to QD ratio).

    The Tire Dressing Comparison Thread

This whole thread has me re-considering my tire dressing choices. Right now I'm trying to get to the bottom of a bottle of Griots Ceramic Tire Dressing, which I don't really like, and I was planning on going back to my old favorite - Duragloss. I might have to try some of these others from...

    humbling humidity

I've been there and it's frustrating. Fortunately, I don't think I've had any sweat mess up the coating long term, but I have had to do quickly re-do areas because I dripped sweat all over them. Even if the job didn't come out like you wanted, I would not try to fix it or re-do it this summer...

C&C in DETROIT this past weekend...met an AG member & saw an ICON!

Was that red BMW an E30 or an E28 series? Hard to tell from the angle of the picture, but a red BMW of that vintage with the old school BBS wheels looks really good. As always, great pictures.

    Clown(s)...you decide

It was mentioned in the owner's manual of my wife's 2012 Toyota Highlander with leather interior. They didn't call it out by name, but the description of the product it stated to use would only take you one place. I haven't watched the video, but a properly diluted APC is the only way to go...

Detailing lesson to be learned here?

I typically don't have a set starting area. In my garage I have to unplug and move the vacuum around the car to prevent stretching the hose across the vehicle (plugs are along the side walls). I've actually scuffed paint and interior plastics with the hose trying to do the "stretch it across...

    ADS Hero

I think we all have similar thoughts for other brands. We all have products from various places that stand out and work for best for us. I don't know of a single brand I'd use for everything.

    Favorite Car Reviews

Agree, but I think it goes beyond the sound. It's the whole package/personality of the car: a large-ish coupe, a big engine, tons of power, just enough creature comforts to be tolerable, and reasonable price point (I know, debatable in today's market). You nailed it in your comment. Sure an...

    Favorite Car Reviews

I personally know a couple people who turned down the Camaro due to the visibility and bought Mustangs. I also went a similar route. I started shopping for coupes with the Camaro and never took it for a test drive. Just sitting in it felt like driving an APC or a tank via the periscope. I...
