    Clown(s)...you decide

I avoid a lot of DIY detail content myself lately. From everything else I’ve seen you really want to avoid using high alkaline cleaners on leather (which includes the steering wheel). Stick to something in the pH range between 6-8. Good Facebook post on leather...

    New Collinite Products

3D Poxy montan wax is not super durable. The solvents in 845 will probably remove the Poxy.

    Coating for new Bronco

MOHS Evo is slicker and more hydrophobic being a flourinated polysilazane based coating. CanCoat Evo and CQUK might look better being SIO2 based. Some people top MOHS Evo with CanCoat Evo.

    Drying Aids 2024 – 2025

3D Bead It Up is a bit heavy of a product to use as a drying aid. It’s a polymer sealant that adds gloss and slickness. And it sticks around well past the next couple of washes. The biggest issue I had with it (besides the random streaking issues) was that it masked the properties of the...

    NEW 3D GLW series

I read Tunch sold the company. You’d think he would have known that was the direction prior to Mike joining 3D. I agree this seems like the wrong direction for 3D. They also started posting updated SDS docs for many products removing a lot of information from them. When a company...

Is Adam's Slick N Slide Really Just like Xtreme Solutions Topper?

Phoenix EOD Titan and Ethos Pro Shine are both variations of B&B Slipstream. IIRC they both used the same pdf form for the SDS and forgot to change one of the pdf headers. It still said Slipstream as the product name.

Of these 5 choices, which ceramic drying aid / topper would you choose?

I used it a bit a few years ago. The product may have good chemical resistance, but otherwise it wasn't very good at anything. Gloss did not stand out (reduces at application), water behavior was average at best, car did not stay any cleaner any longer than bare paint, did not make it...

Of these 5 choices, which ceramic drying aid / topper would you choose?

I did the same thing after seeing Mike’s video on it and had the exact same problem. Terrible experience. Not sure why Mike is leading us down the wrong path. That product is not designed to be used that way.

    Bug remover & topcoat reapply

Most bug removers are APCs/degreasers perhaps with an enzyme that breaks down bug guts. Start with a little soap and water and see how far you get. Grab the bug remover when you need to get more aggressive than that. And yes these bug remover products will degrade your protection to some...

Why do you use the brands you do, & not others??

It's not possible for one brand to have a winner in every category. I use a lot of 3D products because most of them work well and are good value for the money. But I also use products from others as well.

New polisher and polishing technique help

I have owned and used the 3401, CBEAST, and cordless finisher. The finisher slows down after 5-10 minutes which is annoying. I do not recommend anyone buy the cordless finisher. With the new corded XCE out I wouldn't bother with the 3401. Cordless is nice but the warranty on the batteries...

    Thank you Mike Phillips

"It's fun to work with the maker, not the faker." - Mike Phillips I wonder what the backstory is on that. Looks like maybe a reference to other social media promoters.
