Detailing/protecting glossy plastic front grille and wheels

Yeah that makes sense. I may try the Pinnacle Black Label sealant on the wheels after this discussion. I'll let you know how that turns out.

Detailing/protecting glossy plastic front grille and wheels

As 07RS4 said, the front grille is definitely plastic, but I am not sure the process by which they achieved the glossy black finish on it.

Wow nice photos and great to hear as I ended up buying a good amount of it. Do you use it on all of your external plastic trim?

Great tips guys! Has anyone tried the Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant and have an opinion on it?

Detailing/protecting glossy plastic front grille and wheels

Thanks TrolleyVW -- it was one of my dream cars also! I hadn't thought of MF gloves -- that would be a huge help for both wheels and grill. I will look into the WOWA sealants also. Do you think those would be better than the Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant then?

Detailing/protecting glossy plastic front grille and wheels

After applying many of the great tips provided by all of you on here (thanks again by the way!), I have two areas of my car that I would like to confirm the best way to detail/protect with you all. The glossy black plastic front grille Wheels - They have a 'titanium' gunmetal painted finish...

New car factory paint correction - polish/finish/jewel?

Hi everyone, quick question/clarification on polishing vs finishing vs jeweling for my new car factory paint and minor correction. My new Audi (2 months old) has some very minor water marks/blemishes, very fine scratches from the shipping cover in a couple areas and some minor orange peel...

New Audi purchase - allow dealership prep/wax or no?

Hi guys, I just wanted to close the loop on this thread and report back what happened today. So the dealer was cool with leaving the car fully wrapped up in the Audi wrappings until I got there and I removed them together with the tech team in order to help prevent the DISO. After they did all...

New Audi purchase - allow dealership prep/wax or no?

First of all, beautiful car! So just to clarify based on your pics, did you polish it day 1, or was that sometime later? I did read Mike's post and it sounds like the best approach is to only polish if it needs it. Yet, it sounds like most everyone on here believes that polishing day 1 is the...

New Audi purchase - allow dealership prep/wax or no?

Thanks again for the advice everyone. There is a strong argument on both sides.. I think I am going to have to make the call while I am there at the dealer in the moment, but am going to tell them not to touch it until I arrive. I will let them know ahead of time that I am very concerned about...

New Audi purchase - allow dealership prep/wax or no?

After I slept on this, I think you are right @anonymous .. I think the right process is going to be to literally be with the car from the time the first unwrapping begins, all the way until final detail is complete to observe the whole process. Additionally, I am thinking that it might make the...

New Audi purchase - allow dealership prep/wax or no?

This is great information everyone, thanks a lot and I am so glad I asked for some advice on this! I will speak to the dealer about my concerns and plan to be there to watch the unpacking/prep process personally. I will report back next weekend after I pick it up!

New Audi purchase - allow dealership prep/wax or no?

You mean, do let them prep the vehicle, but no exterior detailing? Like the other guys have said?
