Need some M20 or M21 in SF Bay Area tomorrow. Tips?

Long story short, a friend is coming by tomorrow with his new car and I told him I'd give him a hand with getting some protection on his paint. Stupidly, I didn't re-order any sealant and I'm just about out of M20. Does anybody know where in the Bay Area I could pick some up tomorrow (sunday)...

    I Hate Cloth Interiors!

AG also sells a rubber-bristled pet hair brush. It actually works great. I use it in the car and I tested it in our living room and it did pick up hair the Dyson left behind.

Top 10 Detailing Mistakes - Thought I would Share!

cd, I hear you on the bird bomb removal. He was a little aggressive with that for my tastes as well. My trunk detailing kit includes stuff for bird bombs and my wife has been trained :) My procedure is very similar to yours, but different in one area: Instead of drinking water, I have a spray...

Trim Sealant or is 303 Enough?

Bought new car, enjoying it as a chance to "start fresh" and maintain "perfect" as best as I can. I've already applied 303 to the black plastic trim pieces, and M20 to the chrome trim pieces. I've also applied M20 to the black wheel wells. I did a spot test, waited a week, made sure it didn't...

Top 10 Detailing Mistakes - Thought I would Share!

I just assumed by "spray wax" he meant an AIO detailer spray that included a wax. But maybe I was just being charitable. I just figured the average joe this was made for probably would know what "spray wax" was better than "quick detailer."

Getting new car - comments on plan for first detail?

I've been going through this as well. Picked up a new car myself about 2 weeks ago. First, I had a paint protection film applied to the front bumper, mirrors, and door edges. I considered the hood and fenders but that's a much more expensive install. The work I had was $500, the whole thing...

    Horrible wash mitt

You're 100% correct. I have the awful mass-market green version that I got at AZ, and I have this mitt. I use the green on my tires and lower 1/4 of the car, and this one for the paint. The "dreadlocks" (as somebody upthread called them) are much more dense on this. They are more tightly...

New guy here wanting some advice!

+1 on the Grit Guard. In fact, I use one in both of my buckets. +1 on the clay. I've found the DP brand clay on AG to be user friendly and great. No marring the finish. You can mix your own clay lube but honestly the DP lube is $5 when you buy the combo kit and it works great for me. For your...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Thanks man! It's easy when the paint is new, as we all know. But I've put a lot of sweat into it in the last few days.

Thanks Guys! Applied the M20 to the wheels last night!

    Question? Wash new mf towels?

I'll also add: Most people use WAY too much laundry detergent. Not just on MFs, in general. But it's even worse for MFs because you probably don't really have a full load of them. On my HE front-loader, I use like 1cm of detergent in the cup. I'd use maybe double that, tops, for a full load in...

Your favorite interior detailer? Suggestions please to replace Armor All

I've used Megs Interior Quick Detailer for the last couple years. But I went to my local AutoZone a few days ago for the first time in ages and they carry several Griots products, including an Interior Cleaner. In general, I'd say my experience with Griots products are that they're a...

Body work issues, or am I way too picky?

I'm a hobbyist and others here will certainly be able to offer a better answer but since nobody replied, here's my experience: I was able to clean up some minor hologramming issues on black factory mercedes paint (known to be hard) using that same PC DA with Menzerna SIP with a medium-cut pad...
