I have many 150mm wool and foam pads that I use with my 5” backing plate. The Velcro loop on the backing of the 150mm pad is 5” in diameter and the pad face is 150mm. Actually sorry I forgot in microfiber only come in 130mm and 160mm and for microfiber so go with the 130mm microfiber for a 5”...

Rupes 150mm Microfiber would be a good alternative to the Meg’s pads. The 150mm work well with a 5” backing plate and work well with a DA.

As an ex-tire jockey in a way-past-(college job)-life that white stuff isn’t grease but tire mounting soap. Should come off easily with a damp microfiber. Enjoy the snow traction.

I did a bunch of research on what to coat PPF with(or not to coat it). In the end I went with Dlux, on a a Suntec film. Seemed to work well without impacting the PPF.

Another 10 days (3 1/2 weeks) of sloppy snow with a short reprieve where I was able to clean the car with Darkside applied to tires. After a light scrub with a detail factory tire brush to remove dirt and grime the tires still have its same low gloss appearance, color me impressed… Upon close...

So far, quite happy with it I only applied one layer and it has a nice semi-gloss sheen which I prefer(black without greasy gloss), seems to dry so the tire looks dressed without an oily transfer when brushed up against. We got a bunch of snow here so I’ll get a decent feel for how it holds up...

I’ve been looking for a new tire coating applicator and found this handle applicator and pads kit at the “big river” selling place for under $10. The handle is for 3” (~75mm)polishing pads and the kit I found also comes with a microfiber pad which is durable(more durable than foam applicators)...
