What’s you guys’ opinions of applying these window stickers after coating?

I’m always torn on this and I probably way over think it.

I’ve got a brand new Escalade in right now, just put UK on it. Are these a nice touch for a customer?

It’s kind of like the tiny ‘pony’ logo on a polo shirt. Makes it legit.

On the other hand, it’s another
sticker on a window..

Thoughts?

I would give it to the customer and let them decide. Or offer to put it on for them

People have all kinds of obnoxious and large stickers on their windows. This 1 is small and alot more meaningful than most of what some vehicles have. I’d put it on.

I'dd ask the customer. I am a no sticker guy myself, it all comes off. I even take some of the exterior vehicle badges off I think clean the look up. (eg - on Ram truck, 'Ram 1500' and '4X4' badges). So I like to keep things clean.

I have worked on cars where the owner just purchased a new-used high end car and asked me to coat it for them. Then once I started to wash the vehicle it becomes obvious that it is already coated… I then needed to contact the customer to explain that the car has already been coated and the coating is still working well. A widow sticker would have been helpful for everyone.

I'm of the opinion that anything such as this, decals, dealer badges, etc., should not be applied to any customers vehicle without their prior approval.

What you see as a nice little extra touch may not seem so to the customer.

That's something to me that should go on the door jam (if the adhesive was on the other side). Otherwise it would be up to the customer.

I personally wouldn’t want the window decal.

I could see someone being bothered if it was the detailers personal business logo, but it’s not self promotion.
