This is the second round of testing, the PNS has been removed. See post #373 Sorry for the confusion

    Sealant comparison

Observations: ONRWW did not survive even one wash, even at 4:1 303 spray wax was a big disappointment, also failing quickly. As a topper on an AIO applied a short time after the base coat , it appears that X-Press Spray wax works better than Fast Finish. UFF actually endured more washes on...

It rained around the 48 hour mark, but I waited another 24 hours before washing. First Wash results: Kinda disappointing:

Well, guys, I'm going to do a quick and dirty phase two of my experiment. I'm going to try a couple other products I didn't have room for on my first run and in an effort to extend the life of the the two AIOs I'm going to top them afterwards with a spray wax and ultimate fast finish. The...

ONR and Meg's Ultimate Liquid Wax

I don't think you'll get longevity to last through the season with just a cleaner wax.

    Thoughts on DG 105

As far as wash durability, I've just completed a test on my truck and 501 lasted longer than 105. This is after 25 washes:

BTW, RippyD, If you need any products I have tested I'll be glad to send you some samples.

OK, Guys, I washed in one of my hand bay by spraying the hood with self serve presoak, then scrubbing normally with a foam brush. This did indeed accelerate failure of several products. Anyway, 25 washes and six weeks in: The foam brush scrubbing did the turtle wax ultimate paste, TW...

    Duragloss 105 vs water spots

I don't know for sure because I haven't tried, But I'm going to speculate that it would not be helpful. Most water spots removers are acidic in nature and respond to acids, not solvents which are in cleaner/waxes

Really Need Help With Urine Smell In Seat. Trying Hard To Help This Person Out.

You can get a UV light and look for spots of urine you have missed. It will have to be dark, but its pretty easy to spot urine stains with it. The urine smell will subside as it dries. Every time you wet it you reactivate any that has been left behind. Check out janitorial cleaner supply...

The optimum quit beading. Meguiars and Durgloss sprays are the products holding up. I predict Duragloss will be the wash durability winner. RippyD's longevity test indicated both lasted about the same amount of time ( 8 weeks or so). I do like Meguiar's Xpress Wax because of it's ease of use...

    Sealant comparison

Well, had this real estate on my hood being unused by the AIOs, so I thought I would test a couple of sprays in their old spots: Shown is at (12 o'clock) Duragloss 931 with Aquawax mixed at detail spray strength, (6 o'clock)Meguiars express spray wax as an RTU product, and (3 o'clock)Optimum No...

    Sealant comparison

I'm going to assume not necessary because all the products are getting the same treatment. You can see which ones are still beading nicely HOWEVER, I will say that if I spray water on my dry hood many of these products are still beading. So they may still be offering some level of protection...

Modern Alternative to Klasse AIO + SG?

Guys, I'm testing several of these products now for automatic touch free wash durability and contributing this info to Rippy's excellent longevity study. My posts start at page 34, but Rippy has compiled data like a research scientist complete with a spreadsheet Cliff notes on my experiment...
