I don't think you'll get longevity to last through the season with just a cleaner wax.

As far as wash durability, I've just completed a test on my truck and 501 lasted longer than 105. This is after 25 washes:

I don't know for sure because I haven't tried, But I'm going to speculate that it would not be helpful. Most water spots removers are acidic in nature and respond to acids, not solvents which are in cleaner/waxes

You can get a UV light and look for spots of urine you have missed. It will have to be dark, but its pretty easy to spot urine stains with it. The urine smell will subside as it dries. Every time you wet it you reactivate any that has been left behind. Check out janitorial cleaner supply...

The optimum quit beading. Meguiars and Durgloss sprays are the products holding up. I predict Duragloss will be the wash durability winner. RippyD's longevity test indicated both lasted about the same amount of time ( 8 weeks or so). I do like Meguiar's Xpress Wax because of it's ease of use...

I'm going to assume not necessary because all the products are getting the same treatment. You can see which ones are still beading nicely HOWEVER, I will say that if I spray water on my dry hood many of these products are still beading. So they may still be offering some level of protection...
