I spray on the towel for windshields but directly on the other glass. The way most windshields are angled results in you spraying as much cleaner on the dash as you get on the glass. I have never tried using three towels but it certainly sounds like a good idea and I might try that next...

As others have said, I have found that the product used is not nearly as important as the towels and the technique. Using two waffle-weave microfiber towels, one to clean the glass after applying the product and the second to dry/buff the glass immediately thereafter, works best for me. Sent...
