    New Black Vehicle

I think a spray type coating is how I’ll have to do for the grill. The more I look at it, the more I dread getting bugs out of there. How are you liking the RX so far? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Black Vehicle

Thank you! That car looks amazing. I’ve not looked into the syncro kits. Does Skin add a lot of the finished product? If Primer is like essence, that sounds like a good way to go. It’d make tue prep easier and no worry if the paint was sufficiently clean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New Black Vehicle

That was a tremendous help. I like the idea of using Wet Coat or Reload on for the grill. That’d make life a lot easier. And I’ll be honest, I had no clue you could use the paint coating on trim. Thank you for all tue other suggestions as well. P&S and DIY Detail are new to me, so I have a bit...

    New Black Vehicle

My wife and I purchased a new black Lexus, and I’m thinking I want to do my first coating to protect it. I have a few questions first though. My biggest question is, how do I prep and coat that grill? I think they spray waxed the entire thing, so not sure how to get it out and the coating in...

Is a pressure washer really needed for a safe wash ?

I recommend to let the circumstances dictate your decision. If there’s only light dirt, I may do a rinseless wash. If my truck has been hauling a load of dirt or been in the woods, pressure wash comes out. If it’s been 3 hours since my last wash and my daughters want to see the foam cannon, who...

    2006 Jeep Wrangler gets Restored

Fantastic work! And I agree on loving the simplify of some cars. It can be refreshing to have a vehicle that’s just a great uncomplicated car. Now I have to find this polytrol to try on my deck chairs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    LSP recommendation

I’ve had good luck with Duragloss 105, collinite 845, and fk1000p. Ive no personal experience with it, but I’ve read Collinite 915 has good durability and looks nice on black. Also, take PaulMys advice and start protecting your trim early and often. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Striped Trim Correction

Thanks for the help guys. I didn’t realize that DLUX over it was a bad idea. Thank you for telling me about the video as well, just found it and am watching it now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Striped Trim Correction

I just noticed the trim on my Outback is trying to look a bit striped from uneven sun fading. It’s outside 24/7. My question is, would something like WETS or DLUX be good enough to even it out, or would I need solution finish to bring it back before sealing? Follow up question, any other...

    Essence and Wolfgang Coating

I emailed Cory from carpro a while back with a similar question. This was his reply. Please keep in mind we were discussing essence. “1 hour or later. So basically by the time you finish the car you could start again in the spot and direction you started with Essence.” This was another...

How to fix this rust spot/paint chip?

You’ve gotten some good advice, but before you get too far into repairing it I suggest you see how extensive it really is. In that location, the rust could be extending well below the gasket for the windshield and possibly quite a ways laterally under the gasket. If that is happening, you’d...

    Rain x or expel

I’ve used rain-x, pinnacle black label glass coating, and aquapel. Aquapel is my personal favorite. It usually lasts me 6months or a bit better. It’s downfall is that you can’t do much more than the front windshield with one applicator. The black label has been demoted to side windows. I...

    Getting back in the saddle

So this probably isn’t a lot of help, but from what I can tell the IP2000 (PO91E) hasn’t been carried over to the new names. It’s still PO91E) Final finish (PO85U)is now FF3000 or just 3000. Now the part you don’t want to hear. The products you have were created prior the beginning of the...
