Thanks to all for replying. Is there a difference using a sealant before waxing the wheels? Would the sealant moisturize the clear coat in some way so that they wouldn't look faded?

I have no idea why these wheels look hazy/dull like this. I've tried a light polish on them by hand with no luck. When wet, they look like newer but once dry they look ehh. I think it's clear coat failure on the wheel. They are 2005 Chevy Tahoe wheels that have lost their luster. I know i can't...

Thanks for the information, I'll do more research and look into it. I was looking to use the Meguiars Ultimate Wax that I have which would last longer than a carnuba before spending more money on other products. This forum has been very helpful and is much appreciated. Thank you.

I either read or saw it somewhere about putting a wax on top of Jetseal for additional protection as well as a different look. It might have been carnuba but it is another layer. I'm no chemist and quite possibly the carnauba type of wax might be the only way to add an extra layer on top of the...

Just got a Griot's Garage 6" orbital polisher with a 5" backing plate and some 5 1/2" pads. I took out some light scratches but don't have the time to work on the entire vehicle for swirling. In time I'll look into halogen lights to help see the problem areas better, which will possibly help...

As far as a logo for stinky's, you could have a cartoon of a dirty kid, (your son) holding a checkered flag in one hand standing by a vacuum, meaning finished next to a ultra clean car. The rest is up to you.

I like the idea of the Steinke's Detailing. Even if some pronounce it as stinky's, it makes me smile and kind of laugh. It's a good feeling. You can also just call it Stinky's Detailing and when someone asks where the name came from, you can tell them. Great conversation starter. Just an opinion.
