My guess is they are going to claim a resale exemption since they will sell the customer the car and claim the cost of your services are include in the price of the car. But they need to provide you with a resale exemption to do this. Being a dealer they have one.
Was the bathroom ok before this or is this a new place. If the plumbing lines aren't vented properly (air behind water) then everything would be slow to drain.

A DBA doesn't get a tax Id it's more or less just letting the state know you are doing business under a name other than your own. You only get a tax id(ein) if you incorporate or form an LLC. Your tax Id under a dba would be your ss#.
