Black 1995 Porsche 993 with Sourneran

Whoa this is an old thread! I think I used steel wool, maybe even a green scouring pad. Something like p21s metal soap would have worked great here with the scouring pad. I believe I used blue magic metal polish with 0000 steel wool then maybe a dry buff with steel wool, but I really don't...

Transporting detailing products via checked baggage

Look for a post I replied to earlier this year (I think) on the subject. It seems it is usually OK for checked bags. I make sure everything is accesible for testing if they do want to, and add a sheet with my business name and description of the articles inside the bag. They always open my...

    Megs MF pads and 105/205

M105 under MF cutting pad seems to work on certain paints better than others. It will cut more than D300, with the dusting and caking typical of M105. On some cars it finishes down better than a Surbuf, for example, on others it is just as severe as the Surbuf (which is not that severe at all)...

    need help with wheels

Anything (sealants) will help, but none are a permanent fix. They will all need re-application. So with this in mind, a spray sealat is the easiest. Opti-seal works great in my experience, and does any spray and leave product. Armor All has a wheel protectant that can be found otc and for teh...

    Sanding marks

Try to wool pads. I know the 3m compound on wool can remove 1500 grit. It is hardcore stuff, but keep it slpw and light, and step up the process little by little, inspecting often before proceeding to the next step. If the wool does not work, then look into doing 2000 grit further. My bet is...

    Window Cleaner- What's the best?

Megs! There is no comparison! Stoners seems like the typical OTC product when compared to the Megs cleaner IMO.

Bringing A Polisher On The Plane?

I travel with 2 PC's and the Flex Rotary (lighter than the Makita) in a hard case small suitcase that is small enough to be carry-on. But I just check it, usually due to be able to carry a backpack with computer/camera, or to carry the doggies. I fill up the spaces in between with large mf...

Wet sanded fully, but still some orange peel

There is orange peel under the clear as well, as the paint is sprayed the same way as the clear. Once you sand flat you will be as good as it will get. The E90 M3 we did had horrible orange peel under the clear :(

First "full" clean, clay, and wax - Problem

I can almost guarantee a MY2000 vehicle anywhere will not have single stage paint... I can also say with fair certainty the paint probably has way too many issues to be able to pick out one type over another. Machine compounding will be necessary to level the defects and restore the gloss.
