What is the best LSP to protect against water spots?

Bump* on this thread for new input, Just bought a Black truck..hard to reach roof. Rain on top of pollen left some etches. Just applied 2 coats of WG 3.0 today.. see how that holds up. Also bought a cordless blower vac to take off water asap after a rain, etc. First black vehicle, now I...

3 months into my winter treatment: sonus Ion.

My results were different, however I had no exposure to road salts, and although my car sits out 24/7, I usually do not even drive it in the rain. 5 months old, and only 800 miles on it. But it has been washed with shampoo, QD, or waterless wash weekly for 5 months. Would like to hear from...

    SONUS ION Paint Coating

I read another thread where the poster said SI only lasted a couple of months. I am sure the durability range for any LSP varies depending upon the weather, frequency of washing, exposure, type of shampoo used..etc. My car sits outside 24/7. I wash with Optimum, or Finish Kare 1016. During the...

do you guys spread wax by hands?

I do in tight places, using a DoDo Juice 30ml panel pot,, easy to use 2-3 fingers, to wipe/spread in some areas. Tried a finger-Supernatural mitt applicator, sometimes easier to just use a finger or two.

Opticoat 2.0 discontinued, OptiCoat Pro sees price increase

I just applied Sonus Ion coating/sealant... durability claims for a year, but let's say 6 months of protection, ... for under $30-- I get about 3 years.. applying 2 times a year. Effortless, no hassle, I have family in Memphis, so I always tried to support Optimum. Guess I can still buy their...

    poorboys... Tell me the truth

I thought Poorboys were relabeled Chemical Guys products? Not that means anything... I remember a few years ago when Natty's Blue was considered a go-to wax for everyone..,

    SONUS ION Paint Coating

Pretty sure you will be pleased. I have to question my sanity though, I already have 3 slightly used tubs of DoDo juice, some Powerlock, and #476.

    SONUS ION Paint Coating

You only get a 8oz bottle, but if you apply thin, the cost will be about $5-6 dollars per complete coat. I like being able to apply to half, or the whole car, then coming back and effortless wiping off. Some LSP's slow you down doing small section by small section. Like i said before, I'm...

    Waxes hold on to dirt?

Depends on the wax, does the oily wax dry out well when cured? Your theory makes sense though. Which wax or sealant would you rather have on your car, say if a bird bomb hits it, and is on there all day till you get off work? Pros and cons to all types of protection... I usually just apply...

    SONUS ION Paint Coating

Rained last night, intense thunderstorms about 9pm, took these this morning. One pic is from a section I applied on my DD. Third pic, notice how the water just trails down to the spoiler, making a huge bead. Sonus Ion is very hydrophobic.......

    SONUS ION Paint Coating

Thanks all, Wished I had better pics, but due to my photography skills, and forum limitations on size, best for now. ( first time for pics, and not many posts after 7 years on the forum..) :Picture: The look is there, to be honest there is probably no way I can go a year without adding some...
