Best of luck to you, I'm still waiting for a large order that I placed on 4/12. I've been bit twice and I can guarantee you there sure as hell wont be a third time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good thread, I work with a Rupes and microfiber pad quite a bit. Compressed air is by far the best way to clean your pad after each section, but depending on the psi and air nozzle you are using, this action is most likely even louder than the polisher. I started using ear protection for this...
Have you tried wrapping a microfiber around the small attachment that has about 5 holes in it? I've used that, and it works pretty good. I took the clip off and just hold the microfiber by hand.
A thimble is a metal piece the vent piping passes through to maintain your clearances from combustible material. I was not 100% sure on my local codes regarding gas pipe venting, so I had my HVAC friend install the vent for me, I did the rest.
I did the same thing, went from mobile to detailing in my 2 1/2 car garage for the winter. For heat I bought a Modine Hot Dawg 45,000 BTU. The vent can go vertical or horizontal. Of course you need a thimble where the vent passes through the wall or ceiling.
For lighting I went with...
Yup, when they install those weights they damage the clear coat and then the salt can find its way in over the winter and oxidize the wheels really fast. Game over...
Very nice looking truck
Since they are winter wheels, looks like the salt found its way under the clear coat and oxidized the aluminum and is still spreading just like rust would do. Are they GM wheels? Its extremely common in the salt belt.
As for a fix, my guess is they have to be sanded, polished, and re-cleared.
Rear hitch is the way to go. And then if your like me your also worried about the paint on your bike. 1up USA is the best bike rack available IMO. The rack only grasp the tires so it will never scratch your bike up. I really like mine, so fast and easy to load.
Hi Marc, have you ever tried Meguiars Marine/RV #91 Power Cut Compound? I find it easier to use than 105 on gel coat. From what ive read, its basically the same as 105 but formulated just for gel coats. I did a 26' sea-ray with it, and had some great results.
Good morning everyone!! I have been using my mytee lite II all spring and summer and it has been very reliable for me. I say I use it 3-4 times a week.
The only problem I have right now is the high pressure line for the wand developed a kink in it. It still works but I would like to replace...
I always use gloves when detailing and have been using a 3m particle mask 8511 for bad interiors and non-acid wheel cleaners. I picked up some D140 only for the most neglected wheels.
Should a respirator be used with D140, vapor and particle? Or will my 3m particle mask be ok so I'm not...
